(a) Each member of the boards of the several
political subdivisions of the State shall receive an
annual salary of not less than the following amounts:

(3) Baltimore City: [$5,000] $8,000; [such]
THESE salaries shall be established in the annual
ordinance of estimates but [shall] MAY not be less [than
as provided herein] THE AMOUNT PROVIDED FOR IN THIS
SUBSECTION.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
provisions of this Act shall not be construed to extend
or apply to the salary of the Board of Supervisors of
Elections in Baltimore City in office on the effective
date of this Act, but the provisions of this Act
concerning the salary of the Board of Supervisors of
Elections shall take effect at the beginning of the next
following terra of office.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.

AN ACT concerning

Coin Pay Telephones

FOR the purpose of requiring that all telephone companies
provide a method to place calls to the operator
without [[charge or]] the insertion of any coin.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 326A be and it is hereby added
to Article 23 — Corporations, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1973 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) to
read as follows:
