(D)    WHEN A VACANCY ON THE COMMISSION OCCURS FOR
ANY REASON, THE GOVERNOR SHALL PROMPTLY APPOINT A PERSON
TO SERVE THE REMAINDER OF THE TERM OF THE VACANT SEAT.
THE GOVERNOR MAY EXERCISE HIS DISCRETION IN THE CHOICE OF
A MEMBER TO FILL A VACANCY.

(E)    THE FULL COMMISSION SHALL MEET AT LEAST TWICE
EACH YEAR. IF, FOR ANY REASON, ALL 12 MEMBERS ARE NOT
PRESENT AT MEETINGS OF THE COMMISSION, BUSINESS MAY BE
CONDUCTED BY THE MEMBERS PRESENT. A DECISION OF THE
MAJORITY OF THE MEMBERS PRESENT SHALL BE A DECISION OF
THE COMMISSION.

THE COMMISSION   MAY EMPLOY AN EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, ONE

ASSISTANT AND ONE   SECRETARY-STENOGRAPHER. COMPENSATION

FOR THESE PERSONS      AND ANY OTHER PERSONNEL OF THE

COMMISSION SHALL BE   AS PROVIDED IN THE STATE BUDGET.

(A)    THE COMMISSION SHALL ESTABLISH GUIDELINES FOR
THE EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT AND TREATMENT OF HIGH BLOOD
PRESSURE. THE GUIDELINES SHALL RELATE, BUT ARE NOT
LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING SERVICES:

(1)        DETECTION.

(2)          CASE FINDING.

(3)          DIAGNOSIS.

(4)    DIAGNOSTIC WORK-UP.
(5)          THERAPY.

(6) LONG TERM MANAGEMENT.

(B)    THE COMMISSION SHALL INSTITUTE, SUPERVISE AND
PROMOTE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR THE PUBLIC CONCERNING
THE PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE. THE
COMMISSION MAY UTILIZE EXISTING PROGRAMS AND GROUPS FOR
THIS PURPOSE.
