AN ACT concerning

Public Education - School Board Expenses

FOR the purpose of correcting certain erroneous
duplications in School Board expense.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 77 - Public Education

Section 37 (e)

Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 37(e) of Article 77 - Public
Education, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1975
Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Article 77 - Public Education

37.

(e) (1) Except as provided by this subtitle, the
members of the county boards may not receive a salary or
compensation. However, each member shall be reimbursed
for traveling and other expenses incident to attendance
at board meetings and the transaction of board business.

(2)  In the following counties each member of
the board shall receive annually the amounts listed for
traveling and other expenses.

(3)  Allegany County....................$ 300

(4)  Calvert County

(i) Members......................$ 1,000

(ii) President...................$ 1,200

(5)  Caroline County

(i) Members......................$ 400

(ii) Chairman
