Section 5(K)(1)(c)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 5(K)(1)(c) of Chapter 195 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of 1973, be and it is hereby
repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:

(1) (c) Contingent upon preliminary plans being
approved by the Department of General Services and
Department of State Planning — Design and Preparation of
detailed plans and specifications for Construction of a
[Maximum] MEDIUM Security Institution [(400 beds)] (500
BEDS).............................................   $500,000

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect June 1, 1976.

(House Bill 1455)

AN ACT concerning

University of Maryland — Capital Appropriation

FOR the purpose of repealing and reenacting, with
amendments, Section 5(M)(1)(f) of Chapter 289 of the
Acts of 1974, redesignating a portion of the
appropriation for the University of Maryland,
College Park Campus, "Construction of Physical
Education Building, Phase II", to provide funds for
equipment, site improvements and sediment control;
repealing and reenacting, with amendments, Section
12 of Chapter 406 of the Acts of 1974, redesignating
a portion of the appropriation for the University of
Maryland, Baltimore City Campus, "to supplement the
appropriation construction of an addition to Howard
Hall" to provide funds for equipment for the School
of Medicine Teaching Facility as shown on page 306
of the Acts of 1973 and modifying Section 8 of
Chapter 195 of the Acts of 1973.
