and found on page 2253 of the Laws of 1974, making
available $500,000 to the State of Maryland for the
purpose of preserving the present character of State
Circle and School Street in Annapolis by the purchase and
resale, with appropriate restrictions, by the State of
Maryland of real property located on State Circle and
School Street in Annapolis or by the acquisition by the
State of Maryland of architectural easements for real
property located on State Circle and School Street in
Annapolis pursuant to the provisions of Section 14C of
Article 78A of the Annotated Code. There shall be
allowed an additional period of two years beginning on
the effective date of this Act for placing the
aforementioned project under contract or taking other
appropriate action for the aforementioned project. If
the project has not been placed under contract within a
period of two years, or if other appropriate action has
not been taken for said project, within a period of two
years beginning on the effective date of this Act, then,
as to said project not so placed under contract, or as to
said project for which other appropriate action has not
been, taken, it shall be deemed to have been abandoned,
and the other provisions of Section 7 of Chapter 664 of
the Acts of 1974 shall be fully effective as to said
project.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect June 1, 1976.

AN ACT concerning
General Construction Loan of 1973 —
Maximum Security Institution
FOR the purpose of permitting funds appropriated in the
General Construction Loan of 1973 for detailed plans
and specifications for construction of a Maximum
Security Institution of 400 beds to be used for
detailed plans and specifications of a Medium
Security Institution of 500 beds.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Chapter 195 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
1973
