Ch. 665

(C)    Members of the Board shall be entitled to
receive such compensation as it may determine from time
to time, not to exceed $25 per day for each day they are
engaged in transacting the business of the Board. The
members shall receive also their necessary traveling
expenses in accordance with the standard travel
regulations.

(D)    The Board shall elect annually one of its
members as chairman[, and]. THE BOARD shall [also elect
annually] APPOINT a secretary, who [need not be a member]
SHALL BE EXECUTIVE OFFICER of the Board. THE SECRETARY
OF THE BOARD SHALL SERVE AT ITS PLEASURE AND SHALL HAVE
THE POWERS AND PERFORM THE DUTIES ASSIGNED BY THE BOARD.
THE BOARD ALSO BAY HAVE ANY OTHER STAFF PROVIDED FOR IN
THE STATE BUDGET.

(E)    All moneys collected under this subtitle shall
be paid over to the State Treasurer, and shall become
general funds of the State. Such moneys shall thereafter
be disbursed by the Comptroller only pursuant to an
appropriation made in accordance with §§ 32 and 52 of
Article 3 of the Constitution or pursuant to the
provisions of §§ 1 through 15, inclusive, of Article 15A
of this Code, title "Budget and Procurement," as amended
from time to time.

(F)    The Board [shall have the authority to] MAY
obtain information which it may require in the field of
physical therapy and, for that purpose, may secure the
advice of experts and consultants to be paid out of the
funds of the Board.

610.

(a) (1) All persons who make application for
licensure AS A PHYSICAL THERAPIST shall BE OF GOOD MORAL
CHARACTER AND meet the following requirements:

[(1) Be of good moral character.]

[ (2) ] (I) If [applying for licensure as a
physical therapist and if] educated in the United States
or Puerto Rico, be a graduate of a school or course of
physical therapy which, in the year of graduation, is
approved by the Council on Medical Education of the
American Medical Association [and/or] OR the American
Physical Therapy Association AND PROVIDE EVIDENCE OF
SATISFACTORY COMPLETION OF THE CLINICAL TRAINING REQUIRED
BY THE SCHOOL OF COURSE; [if] OR

(II) IF educated in a foreign country,
be a graduate of a school or course of physical therapy
which has educational requirements comparable to those
approved by the Council on Medical Education of the
American Medical Association [and/or] OR the American
Physical Therapy Association.
