AN ACT concerning
Carroll County General Hospital, Inc.
FOR the purpose of amending Section 2 of Chapter 356 of
the Acts of the Regular Session of the General
Assembly of 1975, said Section relating to the
amount which Carroll County may loan to Carroll
County General Hospital, Inc.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Chapter 356 of the Acts of the Regular Session
of the General Assembly of 1975
Section 2
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 2 of Chapter 356 of the Acts of
the Regular Session of the General Assembly of 1975 be
and it is hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:

The County is hereby authorized and empowered to
make a loan to Carroll County General Hospital, Inc. upon
such terms and conditions as may be determined by said
County to finance the construction of additions and
improvements to "Carroll County General Hospital, Inc.",
as defined in Section 1 of this Act, and, in order to
make such loan and financing possible said County is
hereby granted the power and authority to borrow money
and incur indebtedness for such purpose, from time to
time, in an amount not exceeding the sum of [two million
dollars ($2,000,000)] $7,000,000 and to evidence such
borrowing by the issuance and sale upon its full faith
and credit of its serial maturity, general obligation
bonds in like par amount, upon the terms and conditions
hereinafter set forth. Such bonds may be issued from
time to time, in one or more groups or series, as funds
for such buildings and facilities become necessary,
provided, however, that the total debt which may be
incurred pursuant to the authority of this Act shall not
exceed [two million dollars ($2,000,000) ] $7,000,000.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.
