AM ACT concerning
Joint Legislative Committee on Metropolitan
Mass Transit
FOR the purpose of creating a Joint Legislative Committee
on Metropolitan Mass Transit to review, evaluate and
make recommendations with respect to the mass
transit system in the Baltimore Metropolitan Transit
District; specifying the composition and duties of
the Committee; providing for the funding of the
Committee and Staff; requiring the Maryland
Secretary of Transportation to submit certain plans
for the development or extension of rapid rail mass
transit system in that Metropolitan Transit District
to the Committee; respecting the authority of the
Secretary concerning such plans in the event of
certain legislative action; requiring the Secretary
of Transportation to make a certain study of Section
A of Phase I of the rapid rail transit system in the
Baltimore Metropolitan Transit District; providing
for submission of the findings of the study to the
Committee; providing for the effect of the study on
certain Federal funds; and generally relating to
mass transit systems for that Metropolitan Transit
District.

Section 105 through 108, inclusive, to be under the
new subtitle "Joint Legislative Committee on
Metropolitan Mass Transit"

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Sections 105 through 108, inclusive,
to be under the new subtitle "Joint Legislative Committee
on Metropolitan Mass Transit" be and they are hereby
added to Article 40 — General Assembly, of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1975
Supplement) to read as follows:
