corporation found guilty of violating any rule or
regulation promulgated under this section shall be deemed
guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof
shall be fined a minimum of one hundred dollars ($100.00)
or a maximum of five hundred dollars ($500.00) or
imprisoned for a term not to exceed six (6) months, or
both, for the first conviction; and upon a second
conviction of said offense shall be fined a minimum of
five hundred dollars ($500.00) or a maximum of one
thousand dollars ($1,000.00) or imprisoned for a term not
to exceed one (1) year, or both.
§5. [§ 120D.] Signs warning of delay in traffic through
Baltimore Harbor Tunnel.
(a) The State Roads Commission after study shall
erect signs at all approaches to the Baltimore Harbor
Tunnel, sometimes known as the Patapsco Tunnel, which
warn motorists approaching the tunnel there is a delay in
the flow of traffic through the tunnel. "Approaches"
means all roadways, ramps, bridges, overhead structures,
and entrances used as access to the tunnel.
(b) The signs provided for in (a) above shall be
erected at sufficient distances from the tunnel to
provide approaching motorists a choice of alternative
routes.
§6. [§ 121.] Credit of State not pledged.
Revenue bonds issued under the provisions of this
subheading shall not be deemed to constitute a debt of
the State or a pledge of the faith and credit of the
State, but such bonds shall be payable solely from the
funds herein provided therefor from revenues. All such
revenue bonds shall contain on the face thereof a
statement to the effect that the State is not obligated
to pay the same or the interest thereon except from
revenues of the project or projects for which they are
issued and that neither the faith and credit nor the
taxing power of the State is pledged to the payment of
the principal of or the interest on such bonds.
§7. [§ 122.] Definitions.
As used in this subheading, the following words and
terms shall have the following meanings, unless the
context shall indicate another or different meaning or
intent:
(a) The words "State Roads Commission",
"Commission", "Maryland Transportation Authority" or
"Authority" mean the Maryland Transportation Authority
created by Article 41, § 208C of [this] THE ANNOTATED
Code OF MARYLAND (1957 EDITION, AS AMENDED), acting on
behalf of the Department of Transportation or, if the
Authority is abolished, the board, commission or officer
succeeding to its principal functions or to whom the
powers given by this subheading to the Authority shall be
given by law.
