SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 3 of Article 94A - Transportation,
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Replacement
Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed
and reenacted, with amendments, and transferred from the
Annotated Code of Maryland to the Session Laws, to read
as follows:
TRANSFER OF AUTHORITY PREVIOUSLY GRANTED
TO OTHER AGENCIES.
[§ 3.] The power, authority, obligations, duties and
discretion heretofore granted under any act of the
General Assembly of Maryland to the Maryland Port
Authority, Metropolitan Transit Authority or the State
Roads Commission of Maryland relating to the borrowing of
money, the incurring of indebtedness or the issuance,
sale, delivery or repayment of any bonds, notes or other
evidences of indebtedness, including bonds of prior
issues and revenue bonds of prior issues, AS DEFINED IN
ARTICLE 94A OF THE ANNOTATED CODS OF MARYLAND (1957
EDITION, AS AMENDED), and including the unexercised
borrowing power contained in any such act, are hereby
transferred, granted to and vested exclusively in the
Department of Transportation and, with respect to such
revenue bonds only, in the Maryland Transportation
Authority. IN THIS CONTEXT, REFERENCES IN THIS ACT TO
THE MARYLAND PORT AUTHORITY AND THE STATE ROADS
COMMISSION MEAN THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, EXCEPT
