(House Bill 2093)

AN ACT concerning

Anne Arundel County — Alcoholic Beverages
AA 327-76

FOR the purpose of amending those provisions of the
Alcoholic Beverage laws relating to penalties for
obtaining liquor for certain persons so as to
establish different penalties for obtaining liquor
for minors in Anne Arundel County; clarifying
language; and restructuring,

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 27 — Crimes and Punishments

Section 401

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1971 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED    BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF

MARYLAND, That Section 401 of Article 27 - Crimes and

Punishments, of the Annotated      Code of Maryland (1971

Replacement Volume and 1975      Supplement) be and it is

hereby repealed and reenacted,    with amendments, to read
as follows:

Article 27 — Crimes and Punishments

401.

(A) Any person who obtains any spirituous or
fermented liquors from any other person licensed to sell
[the same] THEM for any minor or person under [twenty—one
years of] age 21, except that the age shall be [eighteen]
18 years for beer or light wine, knowing him to be such,
to be drunk by [said] THE minor or person under
[twenty-one years of] age 21, except that the age shall
be [eighteen] 18 years for beer or light wine, [shall be
deemed] IS guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction
[thereof] shall be fined not less than [twenty dollars]
$20 nor more than [fifty dollars] $50, or imprisoned in
jail for not less than [thirty] 30 days nor more than
[ninety] 90 days, or be both fined and imprisoned in the
discretion of the court.

(3) (1) IN ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY A PERSON IS
GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR IF THAT PERSON OBTAINS THE
FOLLOWING ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES FOR THE FOLLOWING PERSONS
FROM ANY OTHER PERSON LICENSED TO SELL THEM:
