(1968 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 28(j) of Article 2B - Alcoholic
Beverages, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968
Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Article 2B — Alcoholic Beverages

28.

(j) (1) In Anne Arundel County the board of
license commissioners is authorized to approve the issue
of a license, to be known as a motel—restaurant complex
or hotel-restaurant complex license, covering "on—sales"
of beer, wine and liquor to any person, without further
residential, voting or locative qualifications being
required of the applicant, for the sale of any and all
alcoholic beverages within the confines of the
motel—restaurant complex or hotel—restaurant complex.
These licenses [will] SHALL be issued only to the person,
firm, or corporation owning or leasing motel—restaurant
complexes or hotel—restaurant complexes that have a
capital investment of not less than [five hundred
thousand dollars ($500,000.00)] $500,000, [one hundred
(100)] 100 rooms or more, and an enclosed dining room
which serves full—course meals from menus at least twice
daily.

(2)    The cost of this license for each
separate establishment is [twenty—five hundred dollars

($2,500.00)] $3,000 each year, to be paid [the first of
May,] ON MAY 1 [payable] to the clerk of the Circuit
Court for Anne Arundel County and entitles the holder to
sell at one or more locations within the hotel—restaurant
or motel-restaurant complex on each and every day and
permits playing of music and dancing and no provision
contained in subsection (a) of this section relating to
special Sunday licenses applies to the holder of a
license issued under the provisions of this subsection.

(3)    The licenses and the licensees
[hereunder] are subject to all laws, rules and
regulations applicable in Anne Arundel County to the sale
of alcoholic beverages, not inconsistent with the
provisions of this subsection. This license permits the
sale at bars or counters, but not for consumption off the
premises.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.
