(E) "BUSHWACKING" OR "USE OF A BUSHWACK RIG" MEANS
THE HUNTING OF WILD WATERFOWL ONLY WHILE THE BOAT IS
DRIFTING OR BEING SCULLED TO A STATIONARY STOOL OF DECOYS
OR WHILE ANCHORED IN A STOOL OF DECOYS OR SHOOTING OVER
THE DECOYS.
(G) "SNEAKBOATING" OR "USE OF A SNEAKBOAT" MEANS
THE HUNTING OF WILD WATERFOWL ONLY WHILE THE BOAT IS
DRIFTING OR BEING SCULLED.

(C) A PERSON MAY NOT USE A SNEAKBOAT OR BUSHWACK
RIG WITHIN 500 YARDS OF A LICENSED BLIND OR BLIND SITE OR
ANY OTHER RIG LICENSED FOR HUNTING WILD WATERFOWL.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Sections
10-606 (a), 10-607(a), (b) and (f), and 10-609 of Article
- Natural Resources, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1974 Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and they are hereby
repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
Article — Natural Resources
10-606.
(a) A person may not hunt or purposely, or
unnecessarily disturb wild waterfowl from or in a boat of
any description within the State. However, this section
does not prohibit a person from:
(1) BUSHWACKING IN THE WATERS OF THE
SUSQUEHANNA FLATS, ELK AND SASSAFRAS RIVERS IN CECIL
COUNTY, AND IN THE WATERS OF CHINCOTEAGUE BAY, SINEPUXENT
BAY, ISLE OF WIGHT, ASSAWOMAN BAY AND THEIR RESPECTIVE
TRIBUTARIES IN WORCESTER COUNTY;
(2) SNEAKBOATING IN MONOCACY RIVER IN
CARROLL OR FREDERICK COUNTIES, AND IN THE WATERS OF THE
POTOMAC IN GARRETT, ALLEGANY, WASHINGTON, FREDERICK AND
MONTGOMERY COUNTIES;
(3) [immediately] IMMEDIATELY retrieving
wounded or dead wild waterfowl by any boat propelled by
motor if the bird is wounded or killed legally[. This
Section does not prohibit hunting]; AND
(4) HUNTING wild waterfowl by boat on State
or federally owned or controlled hunting areas if
permitted by federal and state rules and regulations.

(a) A resident [who desires to] MAY NOT hunt wild
waterfowl from a gunning rig [first shall obtain a
gunning rig license in addition to a hunter's license]
UNLESS THE GUNNING RIG IS LICENSED PURSUANT TO THIS
