Section 14A
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1968 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 14A of Article 2B - Alcoholic
Beverages, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968
Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
Article 2B — Alcoholic Beverages
14A.
(a) A Class H beer and light wine license shall be
issued by the clerk of the circuit court of the county in
which the place of business is located, or by the clerk
of the Court of Common Pleas of Baltimore City, if the
place of business is located in [said] THAT city, and
[shall authorize] AUTHORIZES the holder [thereof] to keep
for sale and sell beer and light wines at retail at any
hotel or restaurant, at the place therein described, [,
at the place therein described,] for consumption on the
premises. The annual fee for [such a] THE license
[shall be two hundred dollars ($200.00)] IS $200, and
[shall be] IS payable to [said] THE clerk, before any
[such] license is issued, for distribution as [herein]
provided.
(b) [Such] THESE licenses shall be issued only in
Montgomery [and], Caroline, AND ANNE ARUNDEL counties,
and in Montgomery County AND ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY [no] A
license [shall] MAY NOT be issued to, or for use in
conjunction with, or upon the premises of any restaurant
located within a bowling alley, drugstore or billiard
hall or for use upon any premises which has a door,
archway, opening or other passageway providing direct
public access to any bowling alley, billiard hall or
drugstore.
(c) In Caroline County the annual license fee
[shall be three hundred dollars ($300.00)] IS $300.
(D) IN ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY THE ANNUAL LICENSE FEE
IS $300.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.
