AN ACT concerning
Anne Arundel County — Alcoholic Beverages
AA 314-76
FOR the purpose of allowing certain alcoholic beverage
licensees in Anne Arundel County to remain open
until a certain hour with permission from the Board
of License Commissioners.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 2B — Alcoholic Beverages
Section 92(b)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 92(b) of Article 2B - Alcoholic
Beverages, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968
Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
Article 2B — Alcoholic Beverages
92.
In Anne Arundel County, notwithstanding any other
provisions in this subtitle, the following restrictions,
limitations and regulations shall be in effect:
(b) [No licensed] LICENSED premises [shall] MAY
NOT remain open to the public or to private persons or
parties for any purpose for more than [fifteen] 15
minutes after the hours and days for sales set forth in
this section, [regardless of the fact that] EVEN THOUGH
no sales are made after the hours of closing.
[Provided, that] HOWEVER, upon application of any
licensee holding a Class B license, OR A SPECIAL
HOTEL-MOTEL RESTAURANT COMPLEX LICENSE, AS SET OUT IN
SECTION 28 (J) the board of license commissioners may[, in
its discretion,] permit [such a] THE licensee to serve
food until a specified hour, [provided] IF the licensee
proves to the satisfaction of the board of license
commissioners that suitable precautions have been taken
to prevent the sale [and/] or consumption of alcoholic
beverages on the licensed premises after the hours of
