9 set his hand and fixt his seal The day and Year Above written Thomas Dorsey Signed Sealed and Delivered in the presence of us Allen Quynn W.m Hyde On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus written To wit Received of Samuel Chase The sum of Two thousand Pounds Current money being the Consideration money within menchend this fourth day of March 1783 Thomas Dorsey Allen Quynn W.m Hyde Came before us the Subscribers two of the Justices for Ann Arundel County the within naimd Thomas Dorsey and Acknowledged the within Deed as his Act and Deed and the Lands and Premises within menchend to be the Right and Estate of the within menchened Samuel Chase and his heirs according to the direction of the Act of Assembly in that Case made and Provided Acknowledged before us this fourth day of March Anno Domini 1783 Allen Quynn Recorded 4 day of March 1783 W.m Hyde Note The Aforegoing Deed ought to have been recorded before the Proceding Deed" Ex.d Know all men by these Presents that I Henry Bateman s.r Inn keeper of Ann Arundel County in the State of Maryland In consideration of the sum of Five Shillings to me in hand paid W.m Brown in the City of Annapolis Have Bargained Sold released granted and Confirmed and by these presents do Bargain sell release grant and confirm unto the said William Brown all his goods houshold Stuff and Implements of houshold & all other goods and Chattels whatsoever mentioned in the Schedule hereunto annexed now remaining and being in the possession of I the said Henry Bateman that belonged to my now wife Mileha Bateman before our marriage viz One negro gerel named Sall Two mares one horse colt one Cow & calf one feather Bed and Bed steed one Blanket one Sheet one rug Two Iron pots one frying pan two pot backs Two pairs of Pot hooks one pair tongues one Copper tea kettle one Baker of Cast Iron Three Leathear chairs two pewter dishes two pewter basons six pewter plates four pewter spoons one chest one Box iron and Heater eight hogs To have and to hold all and Singular the said Negro girel good houshold stuff and Implements of houshold and every of them by these presents bargained sold released granted and confirmed unto the only proper use and Behoof of the said William Brown his executors Administrators and Assigns forever freely quietly peaceably and intirely without any contradiction claim disturbance or Hindrance of any Person whatsoever and without any Account to me or to any other whatsoever to be made answered or hereafter rendered so that neither I the said Henry Bateman nor any other for me or any my name any right title Interest or demand of in to or for the said goods &.c or any part or Parcel thereof ought to exact challenge claim or demand at any time or Times hereafter But from all action right estate title claim demand possession and Interest thereof shall be wholly barred and excluded by force and virtue of these Presents and I the said Henry Bateman for myself my executors and Administrators all and Singular the said Negro girrel goods and houshold Stuff unto the said William Brown his executors Administrators and Assigns and against all and every other Person or Persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents of which negro girrel and goods I the said (Henry) |
