8 On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus written To wit Rec.d of Thomas Dorsey the sum of Two thousand Pounds current money being consideration money within menchened this fourth day of March 1783 Sam.l Chase Allen Quynn W.m Hyde Came before us the Subscribers Two of the Justices for Anne Arundel County the within named Samuel Chase and acknowledged the within deed as his act and deed and the Land and premises within mentioned to be right & Estate of the within mentioned Thomas Dorsey and his heirs according to the Act of Assembly in that Case made and Provided Acknowledged before us this fourth day of March Anno Domini 1783 Allen Quynn W.m Hyde Recorded 4 March 1783 Ex.d & del.d This Indenture made this fourth day of March in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and eighty three Between Thomas Dorsey of Ann Arundel Coty in the State of Maryland of the one part and Samuel Chase of the saim county and State Witnesseth That the said Thomas Dorsey for and in consideration of the sum of Two thousand Pounds current money to him in hand paid by the said Samuel Chase before ensealing and delivery of these presence The Recept whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and of eavery part and parcel doth fully clearly and absolutely acquit exonerate exonerate and discharge the said Samuel Chase his executors or Administrators by these presents the said Thomas Dorsey hath granted Bargained Sold Alien'd enfeffed and Confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien enfeff and confirm unto the said Samuel Chase his heirs or Assigns all and eavery part of The Several tracts or parcels of Land lying in Elk ridge in Ann arundel Coty Caled and known by by the naims of Troy addition to Troy and Caleb's purches (formerly caled Blackwells Sarch) Troy resurvayd and granted to Basil Dorsey on the Twenteth Second day of March One thousand Seven hundred and Thirty for One thousand and Sixteen acres of Land more or less Addition to Troy granted to Caleb Dorsey in the Year One Thousand Seaven Hundred and nineteen for One hundred Acres of Land more or less Calebs purches granted to Caleb Dorsey on the twenteth Second Day of March One thousand Seven hundred and Thirty for twelve hundred and Fifty five Acres of Land more or less Togeather with all the Lands that lays within the lines of the Seaveral Tracts or Parcells of Land the Originals as well as the Resurvays to all Bounds and Boundaries belonging to said tracts or parcels of Land as well the Originals as Resurvays To Geather with all and Singular the houses Gardains Orchards and Improvements to the saim belonging and also the Reversion and reversions remainder and Remainders right estate Interest Benefit claim and Demand whatsoever of him the said Thomas Dorsey of in & to all and Singular the said Premises and of in and to eavery part and Parcell thereof To have and to hold the Several Tracts or Parcels of Land and all and Singular the Premises herein before menchened and intended to be thearby granted with with there and eavery of thare appurtenances unto the said Samuel Chase his heirs and Assigns for Eaver to the only use and Behoof of him the said Samuel Chase his Heirs and Assigns and the said Thomas Dorsey for himself and his Heirs will warrent and Defend against any Person or Persons Claiming by from or under him or them In Witness whereof the said Thomas Dorsey hath (set) |
