       & Frederick Grammar their heirs & assigns the aforesaid sum of sixty
       two pounds sixteen shillings & ten pence currency on the aforesaid first
       day of February next ensuing with legal Interest thereon

                      In Witness whereof the said Reubin McDaniel hath hereunto
       set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above written

       Then came the within named Reubin McDaniel before me one of the Justices
       of the Peace for the County of Ann Arundel in the State of Maryland and
       acknowledged the within Instrument of writing to be his act and Deed
       & the Negro there in Mentioned to be the right and Estate of the within
       named Charles Stewart and Frederick Grammar his heirs and Assigns
       for ever according to the true intent and meaning of the said Deed

                                                         Know all Men by these presents
       that we Charles Ridgely Darby Lux & William Goodwin are held
       and firmly bound unto the State of Maryland in the full and just sum of
       Twelve hundred and forty five pounds three shillings and six pence Gold
       Currency to be paid to the State of Maryland to the which payment well
       and truly to be made we bind ourselves and each of us our and each of
       our heirs Executors and Administrators jointly and severally firmly
       by these presents sealed with our seals and dated this seventh day of
       October Anno Domini One thousand seven hundred and eighty three

                 The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above
       bound Charles Ridgely do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be
