529 Ex.d & dl.d This Indenture made this 16.th day of March in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty six Between Reubin McDaniel of London Town in Ann Arundel County of the one part & Charles Stewart and Frederick Grammar of the City of Annapolis of the other part Whereas the said Reubin McDaniel is indebted and doth owe unto the said Charles Stewart and Frederick Grammar by a certain Penal Bill or writing obligatory bearing date the fifteenth day of March instant the sum of sixty two pounds sixteen shillings and ten pence Current Money to be paid to the said Charles Stewart and Frederick Grammar their Executors Administrators or Assigns on the first day of February next ensuing with legal Interest for the same to which payment well and truly to be made and done the said Reubin McDaniel hath bound himself his Heirs Executors & Administrators in the penal sum of one hundred and twenty five pounds thirteen shillings and eight pence currency firmly by the said penal Bill or writing obligatory & whereas the above said sum of sixty two pounds sixteen shillings and ten pence currency with the Interest thereon and every part thereof still remain due and unpaid Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Reubin McDaniel for and in consideration of the ^above^ premises & also for and in consideration of the sum of one shilling currency to him in hand paid by the said Charles Steward and Frederick Grammar at or before the sealing and delivery ot these presents the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge Hath granted bargained sold aliened Enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents for himself and his heirs Doth grant bargain sell alien enfeoff & confirm unto the said Charles Stewart & Frederick Grammar their heirs and assigns forever all the Estate right title Interest use trust claim & demand whatsoever of him the said Reubin McDaniel of in ^to^ or out of the premises and every part ^thereof^ that is to say one negro woman called Poll with her increase unto them the said Charles Stewart and Frederick Grammar their heirs and or assigns to their & their only use and behooff Provided always & these presents are upon this Condition that if the said Reubin McDaniel his heirs or Executors do & shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Charles Stewart & Frederick Grammar their heirs or assigns the aforesaid sum of sixty two pounds sixteen shillings & ten pence Currency with Legal Interest thereon acruing or arising due according to the true intent and meaning of this Penal Bond on the first day of February next ensuing the date hereof then this Indenture shall cease & become absolutely void & further the said Reubin McDaniel doth hereby oblige himself his heirs & Executors well & truly to pay or cause to be paid unto the said Charles Stewart (&) |
