       with the appurtenances and every part thereof against him the Said Thomas Hammond
       and his heirs and against all and every Other Person or Persons whatsoever
       Claiming under them to the Said Michael Pue his heirs and Assigns shall
       and will warrant and for ever defend ^firmly^ by these presents  In Witness whereof the
       Party first above mentioned hath hereunto Set his hand and affixed his Seal
       The day and Year first above written

       On the Back of the Aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t  Received
       The 29.th day of January 1783 of the within named Michael Pue the Sum of One
       hundred and Seventeen Pounds Current Money it being the Consideration money
       within mentioned to be by him paid to me

       On the Twenty ninth day of January Seventeen hundred and Eighty Three
       Came the within named Thomas Hammond before us the Subscribers Two of
       The Justices of the Peace for Frederick County Court And Acknowledged the within
       Instrument of writing to be his act and deed and the Lands and premises therein
       mentioned to be the right and Estate of the within named Michael Pue his
       heirs and Assigns forever according to the true Intent and meaning of the
       of the within Deed and the Act of assembly in such Case made and Provided

       Maryland Frederick County sc.t   In Testimony That Jacob Young
       and George Scott Gentlemen before whom the Above Acknowledgement was
       made and who have thereto Affixed their Signature were at the Time of taking
       and Affixing the Same Two of the Justices of the Peace in and for the County
       aforesaid Legally Authorized and Assigned and to all Certificates by them so
       given due Faith and Credit is and Ought to be given in Courts of Justices & thereout
                            I have hereunto Set my hand and Affixed the Public Seal of
             (Seal)      my Office  This 29.th January Anno Domini 1783
