449) Jeremiah Townley Chase his heirs and assigns for ever according to the true Intent and meaning of said Deed & the act of assembly in such case made & provided Acknowledged before A C Hanson October 5.th 1785 Received of the within Named Jeremiah Townley Chase the sum of Five shillings Current Money of Maryland Witness A C Hanson Luther Martin 7¼ sides Recorded this 17.th day of November 1785 Ex.d & dl.d This Indenture made this twenty second day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty Between Elisabeth Mackubin of the City of Annapolis in Arundel County Daughter and heiress of Patrick Creagh deceased of the one part and Thomas Rutland of same place Merchant of the other part Witnesseth that for and in Consideration of the sum of Eighty seven Pounds ten Shillings Current Money to her in hand paid by the said Thomas Rutland the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged Hath ^granted^ bargained and sold aliened released enfeoffed and confirmed and by thes Presents Doth grant bargain and sell alien release enfeoff and confirm unto him the said Thomas Rutland his heirs and assigns for ever All those two Lots or portions of Ground situate lying and being in the City of Annapolis aforesaid and known and distinguished on the Plat of the said City by the Numbers Ninety Five and Ninety Six now held and owned by Doctor James Murray and the aforesaid Thomas Rutland and heretofore to wit on or about the sixteenth day of April in the Year of our Lord seventeen hundred and fifty four among other things Mortgaged by the aforesaid Patrick Creagh in his Lifetime to Bartholomew Pomer^o^y and Joseph Janson Assignees of John Philpot and John Hutchinson by way of security for a debt due from the said Patrick Creagh to the aforesaid John Philpot and John Hutchinson of London Bankrupts as by referrence to the said Deed of Mortgage now of Record may more fully appear together with all and singular the Advantages Improvements Hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever to the same belonging or in anywise appurtaining and all the Estate (right) |
