405) parcel and portion of Ground and premisses herein before described with the appurtenances against all persons claiming or to claim the same by from or under him or them And further that he the said Richard Lee and his heirs shall and will at any time hereafter at the request Cost and charge of the said William Brown his heirs and Assigns make do suffer acknowledge and execute such other Deed or Deeds Act or Acts as may be Necessary for the more effectual conveying and assuring to him the said William Brown and his heirs all the Estate right Title and Interest of him the said Richard Lee of in and to the premisses herein before described and hereby intended to be conveyed such Act or Acts Deed or Instrument of writing to contain no other or greater warranty than is herein before contained In Witness whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and Year first within written Signed Sealed and Delivered in the presence of Rich.d Lee (seal) Walter Winter B Fendall Charles County to wit Be it remembered that on the Fourteenth day of May 1785 Richard Lee Esquire party to the within Deed appeared before us the Subscriber two of the Justices of Charles County Court and acknowledged the same to be his Act and Deed to and for the uses and purposes therein mentioned and according to the Act of Assembly in such case made and provided at the same day also appeared before us Grace the Wife of the said Richard Lee and being by us privately examined apart from and out of the presence and hearing of her said Husband relinquished her right of dower of in and to the premisses within mentioned and acknowledged that she did the same willingly and freely without being compelled or induced thereto by threats of her said Husband her ill usage or a fear of his displeasure Acknowledged Before On the back of the aforeg^o^ing Deed was thus endorsed Viz.t Maryland Charles County to wit Walter Winter B Fendall Received of and from M.r William Brown (of the City of Annapolis) within mentioned the sum of one thousand and sixty pounds Sterling being the consideration money within mentioned receiv'd this fourteenth day of May Seventeen hundred and Eighty five Testes Walter Winter B Fendall Rich.d Lee Maryland Charles County to wit These are to certify that the above named Walter Winter and Benjamin Fendall before whom the within Deed appears to have been acknowledged and who have subscribed their Names in witness thereto were at the time of taking and subscribing the same and now are two of the Justices of the peace for the County aforesaid thereunto duly authorized commissioned and sworn and that to all such Certificates of Acknowledgement by them so taking and signed due faith and credit is and ought to be given as well in Justice Court as thereout In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the public Seal of Office for the County aforesaid (seal) this fourteenth day of May Anno Domini one thousand Seven hundred and Eighty five 9 sides Jn.o Gwinn Cl Chas.s C.y Recorded the 12.th August 1785 |
