    State of Maryland Montgomery County Sc.t   In Testimony that Edward Burgess and
       Joseph Wilson Gentlemen before whom the above acknowledgment was made and who have
       thereto affixed their Signatures were at the time of taking and affixing the same and still
       are two of the Justices of the Peace for the County aforesaid legally Authorised Commissioned
       and Assigns and to all Certificates by them taken and signed due faith and Credit
       is and ought to be given as well in Justice Court as thereout    I have hereunto set
       my Hand and Affixed the Public Seal of my office the 31.st day of May in the Year
       Seventeen hundred and Eighty five

       Know all Men by these Presents that on this day the third of March
       in the Year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Eighty five before me
       Anthony Mylius of Amsterdam Notary Publick and Translator by lawfull Authority
       duly appointed admitted and Sworn Personally came and appeared David Plunket
       of Baltimore in Maryland Esq.r but now in the said City of Amsterdam and as forming
       with David Stewart Esq.r of said City of Baltimore a House of Trade under the Firm
       of Stewart & Plunket  And saith and declared this Appearer to have made
       Ordained Constituted Authorized and Appointed as he by these Presents doth
       Make Ordain Constitute authorize and Appoint his said Partner David Stewart
       to be his true Certain and lawful Attorney for and in the Name of this Appearer
       and as Co Partner aforesaid to Mortgage in due form of Law all such Plantations
       Lands Houses and Tenements as are belonging or appertaining to him the said
       David Plunket or jointly belonging or appertaining to him and to his aforesaid
       Partner David Stewart Esq.r and that for the security of such Sum and Sums
       of Money and on such terms and Conditions as shall be mentioned by the
       seperate Letters of these appearer to his said attorney or as his said Attorney
       shall think fit and the most adviseable in order to Negociate here in Holland
       a Loan on the said Plantations Lands Houses and Tenements for and in his
       own behalf and for and in the behalff of them jointly and to that purpose to
       sign seal and deliver for and in the Name of this Appearer all and every such
       Acts Deeds and Instruments and to appear before all such Court or Courts Justice
       or Justices and other Officers as may be requisite and necessary to get and obtain the
       registring thereof in due form of Law and so as will be requisite and necessary
       for the purposes aforesaid  Giving and by these presents granting this appearer
       unto his said Attorney his full power and Authority in and touching the Premises
       as also to cultivate and manage the said Plantations Lands Houses and
       Tenements as his said attorney shall think fit and the appearer ^himself^ might or could
        do were he personally present likewise attorney or attornies under him to set substitute
        and again to Revoke  And this appearer doth hereby Ratify and Confirm all and whatsoever
        his said Attorney or his substitute or substitutes or any of them shall legally do or procure to be
        done in and touching the Premisses  In Testimony whereof the said appearer hath hereunto and
        unto two Copies hereof one of which is lodging in the Register of me the said Notary in my presence and
        in the presence of the underwritten Witnesses Set his Hand and Seal in Amsterdam aforesaid the
