338 his Heirs and Assigns forever as ^in and^ by the said Recited Deed Poll at large appears And Whereas the said John Biddle by Indenture of the Twentieth day of March in the year of our Lord 1780 for the Consideration ^therein mentioned^ did grant bargain sell Assign Transfer Set over and Confirm unto his Son the said Clement Biddle his Heirs and Assigns The Quantity of one Thousand Acres of Land to be surveyed and laid out in the angle formed by the line run Exparte by John Lawrence and where a true Line will run from the Mouth of Machacomack to the Station Point at little Egg Harbour River in the State of New Jersey together with the Appurtenances To hold to him the said Clement Biddle his Heirs and Assigns forever And in Pursuance of a warrant Granted to the said John Biddle for the said one thousand Acres of Land and of the said Recited Indenture there were surveyed unto the said Clement Biddle in part of the said Warrant Two Certain Tracts of Land one of them Situate in the aforesaid Angle in the Township of Newtown in the County of Sussex on the North side of Pappacotting River and by the return thereof made the twenty first day of April 1780 is bounded as followeth (viz.t) Beginning at a white oak Tree being a Corner of Land Surveyed to Anthony Sharp which Lately belonged to Joseph Barton Standing in the Road Leading from The House late of the said Barton now belonging to the said Clement Biddle to the High Lands of York in a Run called Dry run Thence (1.st) North thirty Six Degrees West twenty five Chains (2.d) thence North seventy six degrees West three Chains and fifty Links thence (3.d) North Fifty four degrees West eighteen Chains thence (4.th) South seventy two Degrees West Sixty seven chains and Eighty Links thence (5.th) South Sixteen Degrees East Fifty eight chains thence (6.th) North fifty two Degrees East Fifty Chains thence (7.th) South Fifty nine Degrees East twenty nine Chains and fifty links thence (8.th) North forty nine Degrees and Thirty Minutes East Twenty six Chains and sixty nine Links thence (9.th) North Three degrees West Sixteen Chains to the place of beginning containing Four hundred and twenty five Acres of Land and allowance for Highways as by the Survey Thereof recorded in the Survey or Generals office at Burlington |
