330 This Indenture this Seventeenth of March one thousand seven hundred and Eighty five between Thomas Dorsey of Ann Arundel County Gentleman of the one Part and John Dorsey of Baltimore Town Merchant of the other Part Whereas the said John Dorsey on the Fourth day of October in the year one thousand seven hundred and Eighty four By his Certain Deed Indented and duly acknowledged and enroled for the consideration therein Expressed Did bargain Sell grant and Assign Transfer and Lett over unto the said Thomas Dorsey his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns the Lands Effects Goods Chattels Judgments Mortgages Bills of Exchange Rights and Credits in the said Deed Recited & Specefied in a Schedule to the said Deed annexed Subject to the Provisions and Conditions in the said Deed mentioned Now this indenture Witnesseth that the said Thomas Dorsey for and in Consideration of five shillings current money When in hand Paid by the said John Dorsey the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged hath Bargained Sold released confirmed Grant Assigns Transfer and Set over unto the said John Dorsey and his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns all the Lands Effects goods Chattles Debts Judgments Mortgages Bills of Exchange Rights and Credit in the said Deed mentioned and specified in a Schedule to the said Deed Annexed to Have and to hold the said Lands Effects Goods Chattles Debts Judgments Mortgages Bills of Exchange Rights and Credits in the said Deed mentioned and Specified in the Schedule to the said Deed annexed to the said John Dorsey his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns And to no other use whatsoever In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the Day and year above Written Thomas Dorsey (Seal) Signed Sealed and Delivered in Presence of A C Hanson State of Maryland March 1785 Then came Thomas Dorsey before me one of the Judges for the General Court The within named Thomas Dorsey and acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed A C Hanson March 17 1785 received of John Dorsey the sum of Five shillings current money being the consideration within mentioned Test 3½ sides A C Hanson Thomas Dorsey Recorded March 17.th 1785 |
