       named Anna Hammond Beale Hammond Anna Labesius Beale Hammond Rebecca Sarah and
       Henrietta Hammond the sum of Five Shillings Current Money the Consideration

       came before us the Subscribers two of the Justices assigned to keep the Peace for the County
       aforesaid Vachel Hammond the within Grantor and Acknowledged the within
       Instrument of Writing as his Act and Deed and the Lands and Premisses therein
       mentioned to be the Right Title and Estate of the within named Anna Hammond
       for Life and after her Decease to Beale Hammond Anna Labesius Rebecca Sarah
       and Henrietta Hammond their Heirs and Assigns forever according to the True
       Intent and meaning thereof

          This Indenture made the twenty second day of February in the year
       of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty five Between John Clapham of
       the City of Annapolis Gentleman of the one part and Jeremiah Townley Chase
       of the same Place Attorney at Law of the other Part  Witnesseth that the said
       John Clapham for and in Consideration of the Sum of seventy five Pounds
       Current money to him in hand Paid by the said Jeremiah Townly Chase the
       receipt whereof he doth hereby Acknowledge and himself therewith to be
       fully Satisfied and Paid  hath given granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed
       released and confirmed and by these presents Doth give grant Bargain
