Ex.d
       This Indenture made this Eight day of January in the year of our Lord one
       thousand seven hundred and Eighty five between Charles Carroll of Carrolton of the City
       of Annapolis of the one part and Thomas Brooks Hodgkin and Francis Cracroft of
       the same City of the other Part witnesseth that the said Charles Carroll of Carrolton
       for and in consideration of the yearly Rents Clauses and Covenants herein after
       Received and Contained by and on the Part ^and behoof^ of the said T B Hodgkin & Francis Cracroft
       their Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns to be paid Kept & Performed hath
       Demisesd Leased and to farm Let and by these presents doth Demise Lease and to
       Farm Let unto the said T B Hodgkin & Francis Cracroft theirs Heirs Executors
       Administrators and Assigns All that Lot of Ground Numbered Four in the Plot
       of Eleven Lots laid off by William Brown for the said Charles Carroll of Carrollton
       in the Month of June last and being in the City of Annapolis and binding
       on the Water from Henry Libels Lot to Carrolls Point the said Lott Number four
       beginning at a Post of Lot Number three and running thence South thirty
       five Decrees and three Quarters of a Degree East fifty feet to a Post then North
       fifty four Decrees and half of a Degree East one hundred and forty four feet
       and half a foot to the waters edge then with the water North twenty four Degrees
       and a Quarter of a Degree West fifty feet four Inches then with the Line of Lot
       Number three to the beginning To have and to hold the said Lot Number four
       unto the said T B Hodgkin ^&^ Francis Cracroft their Heirs Executors Administrators
       and Assigns for and during the full end and Term of Ninety nine years
       Renewable forever Commencing from the First day of this Month Yielding and
       Paying therefor and thereout yearly and every Year During the Demise
       Aforesaid unto him the said Charles Carroll of Carrollton his Heirs Executors
       Administrators or Assigns the yearly rent of twelve Pounds ten shillings
       Sterling in Spanish Milled Dollars Rated at four shillings and six Pence ster.l
       Each and the said T B Hodgkin & Francis Cracroft for themselves their Heirs
       Executors Administrators and Assigns Doth hereby Covenant and Agree
       to and with the said Charles Carroll of Carrollton his Heirs Executors
