256 he the said Thomas Dorsey as one of the Copartners of Dorsey Wheeler and Company hath become also further indebted to the said Evely Pierepont or one other sum of two thousand six hundred and Forty Pounds Sterling Money of Great Britain Payable in Gold or silver with Interest from the twenty Third day of this Present Month of September and to secure the punctual Payment of the last mentioned sum of two thousand six hundred and forty Pounds Sterling money in Gold or Silver with all Interest thereon due and to become due thereon on or before the twenty third Day of September which shall happen in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty six he the said Thomas Dorsey hath agreed to Execute these presents Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Thomas Dorsey in Consideration of the above recited Premises and Also in Consideration of the sum of five shillings Current Money to him in hand paid by the said Evelyn Pierepont the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and himself therewith to be fully satisfied and paid Hath granted bargained sold released aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and by these Presents Doth grant bargain sell release alien enfeoff and confirm unto the said Evelyn Pierepont his Heirs and Assigns all those several Tracts Parts of Tracts and Parcels of Land situate lying and being in the State of Maryland as hereafter discribed to wit all that Tract of Land called Brandy Wine Springs enlarged containing four hundred and twenty seven Acres by Patent all that other Tract of Land called The Addition ^containing two hundred and thirty acres more or less by Patent all that other tract of land called Second Addition^ containing seventy two Acres more or less by Patent All that Part of a Tract of Land called Moab purchased by the said Thomas Dorsey of a Certain Benjamin Clarey by Deed on the Twentieth Day of June seventeen hundred and sixty Nine containing three hundred Acres more or Less All that other Tract of Land called Mount Pleasant purchased by Edward Dorsey deceased of a Certain John Mackey by Deed on the Nineteenth day of June seventeen hundred and fifty containing fifty Acres of Land more or less All that Tract of Land called the Resurvey on Darbys Delight exceping that Part thereof sold by the said Thomas Dorsey to a certain George Buckett containing five hundred and forty four Acres more or less all that other Tract of Land called Addition to Darbys Delight containing by Patent forty two Acres of Land more or less all that other Tract of Land called Necessity containing forty three Acres of Land more or less all that other Tract ^of Land^ called Omission containing forty five Acres of Land more or less and also all that other Tract of Land called The Neglect containing thirty one Acres more or less which said Lands are lying in Frederick County Together with the buildings Improvement Privileges Benefits and Advantages to the said several Tracts Parts of Tracts and Parcels of Land belonging or in any wise Appertaining and the reversion and reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and Profits thereof and of every Part and Parcel thereof and all his the said Thomas Dorseys Right title Interest Use Claim and Demand whatsoever of in and to the same and every Part thereof (To) |
