238 Ex.d Dld At Request of Philip Hall of Baltimore County the following Bond was recorded Know all men by these Presents that I Alexander Frazer of Maryland but now residing in New Providence held & firmly bound unto Philip Hall of Baltimore County in the full and Just sum of Three Thousand Pounds Sterling to be paid unto the said Philip hall his Certain Attorney Executors Administr.s or Assigns to which Payment well & truly to be made & done I bind myself my Heirs Exect.rs Administ.rs and every of them firmly by these Presents sealed with my Seal and Dated this Twenty fifth Day of October seventeen hundred & seventy four The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound Alexander Fraser shall when unto required Assign set over and Deliver up when required or demanded unto the said Philip Hall his heirs Execut.rs Administ.rs or Assigns all and every Part of the Estate of John Frazer Deceased that hath decended or shall decend unto him both Real & Personal either in Law or Equity then the above Obligation to be Void else to remain in full force and Virtue in Law Sealed and Delivered in Alex.r Frazer (seal) the Presence of his Stephan Cromwell Grinbry X Baxtar mark On the back of the aforegoing Bond was thus Endorsed to wit I hereby Certify that this 3.d Day of August 1779 Stephen Cromwell came before me one of the Justices of the Peace for the County aforesaid and made Oath of the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God that 2¾ sides he was a Witness of the Within Bond and signed his name at the request of the within Parties Recorded 6.th September 1784 Tho.s Sollers This Indenture made the twentieth day of August in the Year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred and eighty four Between John Kelly of Baltimore Town late of Montgomery County in the State of Maryland Planter of the one Part and Thomas Usher of the Town of Baltimore Merchant of the other Part Whereas the aforesaid John Kelly is Justly and bonafide indebted to the said Thomas Usher in the sum of two hundred and Forty Pounds six Shillings and Nine Pence Sterling Money of Great Britain by the said John Kellys Bond for the same bareing date the seventeenth Day March in the year of our Lord one one thousand seven hundred and eighty one with Lawfull Interest for the same and payable the seventeenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Eighty three and being willing and desirous to discharge the same hath agreed to convey the Tract and Parcels of Land herein described to the said Thomas Usher in Trust for that Purpose Now this Indenture Witnesseth That the said John Kelly in Consideration ^of the premises and also in consideration^ of the sum of five Shillings Current Money of Maryland to him in hand Paid by the said Thomas Usher the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge Hath granted bargained sold released and Confirmed by these Presents Doth Grant bargain Sell release and confirm unto the said Thomas Usher his Heirs and Assigns in the following Tract and Parcells of Land all lying and being in Montgomery County formerly Frederick County in the State aforesaid (That) |
