198 Merchant deceased and Lydia Mildred the wife of the said Daniel Mildred Daniel Roberts of London aforesaid Merchant the eldest son and Heir of the said John Roberts and Amelia Roberts of Bath in the County of Somerset the Widow and Relict of the said John Roberts of the one part and Daniel Hughes and Samuel Hughes both of Frederick County in the province of Maryland in the United States of North America Iron Masters of the other part Witnesseth that for and in Consideration of the sum of Two Thousand two hundred and fifty Pounds of Lawfull money of Great Britain to him the said Daniel Mildred in hand well and truly Paid by the said Daniel Hughes and of the like sum of two Thousand two Hundred and fifty pounds of like Lawfull money to the said Daniel Mildred in hand well and truly Paid by the said Samuel Hughes at or before the Sealing and Delivery of these presents the receipt of which two Several sums of Two Thousand two Hundred and fifty Pounds and two Thousand two hundred and fifty pounds making together the sum of four thousand five Hundred pounds he the said Daniel Mildred doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and of and from every part thereof doth acquit release and discharge the said Daniel Hughes and Samuel Hughes their heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns and every of them by these presents and also for and in consideration of the sum ^of^ ten shillings apiece of like lawfull Money to them the said Daniel Roberts and Amelia Roberts in hand well and truly Paid by the Said Daniel Hughes and Samuel Hughes at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is also hereby acknowledged they the said Daniel Mildred and Lydia his wife and also the said Daniel Roberts and Amelia Roberts at the Special Instance and request and by the direction and appointment of the said Daniel Mildred testified by his being a party to and executing these presents Have and each of them Hath given Granted bargained sold aliened released enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents do and each of them doth give grant bargain sell alien release enfeoff and confirm unto them the said Daniel Hughes and Samuel Hughes One undivided moiety or half part of all and each and every the Iron Furnaces and Forge lying and being in Frederick County aforesaid now or late in the tenure possession use or occupation of the said Daniel Hughes and Samuel Hughes John Hughes and Barnabas Hughes or some of them and also one u^n^divided moiety or half part of all and each and every the tracts or parcels of Land following that is to say long Tract containing two Thousand five hundred and thirty three Acres and an half more or less the remaining part of the resurvey on Georges mistake Georges venture and the Barrens containing four hundred and Eighty five Acres more or less the same remaining part of the resurvey on Georges mistake Georges Venture and the Barrens being heretofore Mortgaged to Barnabas Hughes and afterwards released to the said Daniel Hughes and Samuel Hughes by one George French Ore Bank containing One hundred and Eighteen Acres more or less being Part of a Tract of Land called the resurvey on Nancys Fancy Frinendship containing one hundred and seventy three Acres more or less being part of the resurvey on Discontent the resurvey on the three springs ^containing^ one thousand six hundred and Sixty Acres more or less the resurvey on Waggoners Fancy containing three hundred ^and^ ninety Seven Acres more or less the resurvey on Sarahs delight containing Seven hundred and Seventy Acres more or less Kindness One hundred and Seventy five Acres more or less Friendship containing forty Eight Acres more or less Wilks and Liberty containing Eight hundred and nineteen Acres more or less except one hundred and Twelve Acres heretofore conveyed by the said Daniel Hughes and Samuel Hughes to William Donwoody and John Charlton A Tract containing fifty Acres more or less lying adjoining a Tract Called Ore Bank and which the said Daniel Hughes and Samuel Hughes purchased of Jacob Gavelor Also one hundred and sixty six acres being part of a Tract Called Good Friday to be laid off adjoining the Resurvey on Waggoners Fancy and the resurvey on Georges Mistake Georges Venture and the Barrens being intended to make up the quantity of seven thousand two hundred and Eighty |
