195 Tobacco or Hogshead of Tobacco prohibited by an Act of Assembly entitled an Act for the Regulation of the staple of Tobacco and that he will receive pass and stamp all Tobacco that is sound well conditioned merchantable and Clear of Trash and in all things well and faithfully discharge his duty in the Office of an Inspector according to the best of his skill and Judgment and according to the derections of the said Act without fear favour affection Malice or partiality and that he will in all things well and faithfully execute and perform the severall duties required of him by the said Act then this obligation to be void else to be and remain in full force and Virtue in Law Signed Sealed and Delivered Zach.a Wade (Seal) in the presence of Rob.t Wade (Seal) Francis Magruder John S Magruder Charles Fendly (seal) At the foot of the aforegoing bond was thus written Viz.t Prince Georges County 29.th September 1783 I hereby Certify that Francis Magruder & Jn.o S Magruder were present when Zachariah Wade Robert Wade & Charles Fendly Signed Sealed and Acknowledged the within bond and at their request they signed the same as Evidences thereto Nath Magruder Recorded 20.th March 1784 Ex.d Know all men these presents that we Richard Clagett and Robert Wade of Prince Georges County are held and firmly bound unto the state of Maryland in the full and Just Quantity of Forty thousand Pounds of Tobacc To the which payment well and trily to be made and done we bind ourselves our heirs Executors and Administrators in the whole and for the whole Jointly and severally firmly by these presents Sealed with our seals and dated this Seventh day of October in the Year Seventeen hundred and Eighty three The Condition of the above Obligation is such that if the above Richard Clagett do diligently and Carefully View and Examine all Tobacco brought to Piscataway Warehouse and all other Tobacco he shall be Called upon to view and Inspect and that he will not receive any Tobacco that is not in his Judgment Sound well conditioned Merchantable and Clear of Trash nor Receive pass or stamp any Tobacco or hogshead of Tobacco prohibited by an Act of Assembly Entitled an act for the Regulation of the staple of Tobacco and that he will receive pass and stamp all Tobacco that is sound well conditioned Merchantable and Clear of Trash and in all things well and faithfully Discharge his duty in the Office of an Inspector according to the directions of the said Act without fear favour affection Malice or partiality and that he will in all things well and faithfully Execute and perform the Several duties Required of him by the said Act then the above obligation to be void else to remain in full force and Virtue in Law Rich.d Clagett (Seal) Signed Sealed & Delivered Rob.t Wade (Seal) in the presence of Rob.t Baden Henry Hardey At the Foot of the aforegoing bond was thus writen Viz.t October 7 1783 Came Henry Hardy and Robert Baden and made Oath that they were present when the above named Richard Clagett and Robert Wade Signed sealed and Delivered the within bond J Contee Recorded 20.th March 1784 |
