186 & in consideration of the Sum of five shillings to him in hand paid at & before the ensealing & delivering of these presents by the said George Whips the receipt whereof he the said Samuel Whips doth hereby acknowledge and himself therewith fully satisfyd & contented and paid and thereof and therefrom & from every parcel thereof doth fully clearly and absolutely exonerate acquit & discharge the said George Whips his heirs & Assigns for ever Hath given granted bargained sold aliend enfeofft & confirmd & by these presents doth fully clearly & absolutely give grant bargain sell alien enfeoff and confirm unto the said George Whips his heirs and Assigns for ever all such moiety or Tract of land called Hoods Friendship begining for said moiety at the end of the South seventy three degrees East fourteen perches course of the said land and runs thence with the said Hoods Friendship East twenty perches still with the said land South fourteen and a half degrees West Sixty eight perches still with the said land North forty Degrees west sixteen perches then with a straight line to the place of beginning containing & now laid out for Six Acres of land be the same more or less together with all houses outhouses orchards Fenceings Gardens and all and singular the improvements premises & appurtenances unto the same belonging or in any wise appertaining To have and to hold the said Six Acres of land aforesaid together with all and singular the improvements premises and appurtenances unto the said George Whips his heirs and assigns for ever to the only proper use and behoof of him the said George Whips his heirs and assigns for ever And the said Samuel Whips and his heirs the said six acres of land unto the said George Whips & his heirs in manner & form aforesaid conveyd against him the said Samuel Whips & his heirs and against all and every other person & persons whatsoever lawfully claiming by from through or under him the said Samuel Whips or his heirs shall & will warrant & for ever defend by these presents And the said Samuel Whips further covenants to and with the said George Whips that he the said Samuel Whips and his heirs shall and will at the reasonable request and at the cost & charge of the said George Whips or his heirs further do or suffer to be done any other lawful act or Acts thing or things device or devices for the better surety and more sure making of the said land & premises unto the said George Whips and his heirs or assigns as by the said George Whips or his heirs or his or their Council learned in the law shall be reasonably devised advised or requested In witness whereof the parties first above named hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above written Signed Sealed & delivered in presence of Samuel Whips (LS) A C Hanson On the back of the aforegoing deed were the following Endorsements to wit Received of George Whips the sum of five shillings being the consideration money mentioned in the within Indenture Samuel Whips Test A C Hanson Maryland March 11.th 1784 Then came before the subscriber one of the Judges of the General Court the within named Samuel Whips and acknowledged the within Indenture to be his Act and deed and the land and premises within mentioned to be the right & Estate of the within named George Whips his heirs and assigns forever A C Hanson Recorded 11.th March 1784 |
