179 At the foot of the aforegoing Indenture was thus written viz.t Received of Benjamin Whips the sum of One hundred and fifty Pounds of lawful Current Money of this State being the consideration Money above mentioned for the Land and Premises Sold and conveyed unto the said Benjamin Whips by the above Instrument of Writing and Deed indented Witness my hand and Seal the 12.th day of December in the Year 1783 £ Test A C Hanson 150 Samuel Whips (Seal) On the 12.th day of December 1783 came before the subscriber one of the Judges of the General Court the above named Samuel Whips and acknowledged the above Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed and the Lands and Premises therein mentioned with the Appurtenances to be the Right and Estate of the above named Benjamin Whips his Heirs and Assigns forever according to the true Intent and meaning of the above mentioned Deed and of the Act or Acts of Assembly in such Cases made and provided Acknowledged before and certified by me A C Hanson Recorded the 12.th day of December 1783 This Indenture made this sixth day of October Anno Domini one thousand seven hundred and Eighty three Between Elijah Robosson Esq.r of Ann Arundel County in the province of Maryland of the one part and Tho.s Beall son of Ninian of Prince Gorges County and province aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Elijah Robosson for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and ninty pounds Current money the him in hand paid by the said Thomas Beall before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said Elijah Robosson doth hereby acknowledge and himself therewith fully sattesfied contented & paid Hath given granted bargained sould aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and doth by these presents bargain sell alien enfeoffed and confirm unto the said Thomas Beall his heirs and Assigns forever all his right title property and Interest of and unto a certain Tract or parcel of Land called & know by the name of Beaver Dam Bottom enriched lying and being in Worshington County and on a Creek called Everts Creek beginning at three bounded White Oaks Trees standing in the East side of the said Creek and about a Mile above the black water lick and running thence North twenty eight Degrees east ninety six perches then north nineteen Degrees East forty perches then North seven Degrees West forty two perches then north fifty seven East Eighty four perches then North sixteen degrees East twenty Six perches then North Sixty three degrees West twenty two perches then West sixty perches then South fifty seven West fifty six perches then South thirty one degrees West thirty perches then South eleven degrees West forty four perches then South twenty West thirty two perches then South seventy perches then South fifteen degrees West eighty perches then by a Straight line to the beginning containing and now laid out for one hundred and thirty Acres of Land more or less To have and to hold the aforesaid bargained land and premises together with all and every of the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the said Elijah Robosson doth for himself his heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns covenant grant and agree to and with the said Tho.s Beall his heirs Executors |
