86 title interest and Estate of the within named Henry Camden his heirs and Assigns forever agreeable to the Act of Assembly in such cases made and Provided At the same Personally appeared Grace Lee wife of the said Richard Lee and acknowledge her right of Dower and that she did not do it through any fear threat or Displeasure of her said Husband Philip Thomas Lee Received of M.r Henry Camden the sum of five Shillings and two pence Sterling Money for the use of Lord Baltimore it being the Alienation Money the within land by virtue of a Commission from John Morton Jordan Esq.r his said Lordships agent & receiver General John Brice Recorded 1.st November 1770 X.d This Indenture made this twenty sixth Day of October in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Seventy Between John Morton Jordan of the City of Annapolis in Maryland Merchant of the one part and Thomas Ringgold of Chester Town in Maryland Merchant of the other part Witnesseth That the said John Morton Jordan for and in Consideration of the sum of Ten Thousand one hundred and fifty pounds Sterling Money to him in hand paid by the said Thomas Ringgold the Receit whereof the said John Morton Jordan doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained sold and Conveyed and by these Presents doth grant bargain & sell alien enfeoff convey and confirm unto the said Thomas Ringgold and to his heirs and Assigns forever all those Eight Several Tracts or parcels of Land lying and being in Frederick County in the Province aforesaid to with the manor of Conegocheige containing by Patent to the said John Morton Jordan Ten thousand Six hundred and Eighty Eight Acres and one Quarter of an Acre and Seven Tracts of land lying within the reserve of the said Manor and known and Distinguished in the Patents or grants thereof to the said John Morton Jordan by the Numbers one, two, three, four, five, Six & Eight Number one containing four hundred and fifty eight Acres Number Two containing Nineteen hundred and Seventy Acres, Number three containing nine hundred and ninety five Acres, Number four containing four hundred and eighty one Acres, Number five Containing Seventeen hundred and thirty five acres number Six containing fourteen hundred and twenty seven Acres and Number Eight containing three hundred and forty Six Acres together with all the Appurtenances belonging or in any wise relating either to the said manor or the said Reserved Lands and every part and parcel thereof and all the Estate Right Title interest Property Claim and Demand whatsoever that the sid John Morton Jordan now hath or may or can claim off in and to the said Mannor and Reserved Lands both in law and Equity and the Remainder and Remainders Reversion and Reversions Rents and Services of the Premises and every part and Parcel thereof To have and to hold the hereby bargained sold and conveyed Manor and Seven tracts of Land with their and every of their Appurtenances unto the said Thomas Ringgold and to his heirs and Assigns forever to the only proper use and behooffe of the said Thomas Ringgold his heirs and Assigns forever and the aforesaid John Morton Jordan doth hereby for himself and his heirs covenant Promise and agree to and with the said Thomas Ringgold and his heirs and Assigns that he the said John Morton Jordan and his heirs and Assigns the aforesaid Manor and Reserve Lands afd above bargained & sold to the said Thomas Ringgold and to his heirs and Assigns against him the said John Morton Jordan & his heirs and all and every person and persons claiming any thing therein by from or under him them or any of them shall and will Warrant and forever by these presents Defend And also that he the said John Morton (Jordan) |
