734 named Alexander Edmondston Beall his Heirs and assigns for ever according to the purport true intent and meaning of said Deed Dan.l of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Recorded the 19.th day of October 1774 This Indenture made this Twenty Ninth day of August One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy four Between Michael Pue one of the Executors of Caleb Dorsey late of Ann Arundel County Iorn Master deceased William Goodwin and Milcah his wife and Eleanor Dorsey Executrixes of the said Caleb and Samuel Dorsey Executor and Heir at Law of the said Caleb of the one part and Thomas Dorsey of Ann Arundel County of the other part Whereas the said Caleb by his last Will and Testament bearing date on or about the fourteenth day of May in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and seventy two (referrince being the and had may appear) devised certain lands to be sold And Whereas the said Thomas Dorsey hath become purchaser of part of a Tract or Parcel of Land called Calebs Delight enlarged lying in Frederick County for the Consideration of Seven hundred and Sixty pounds & Seven pence Current Money Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Michael Pue William Goodwin and Melcah his wife Eleanor Dorsey and Samuel Dorsey in and by virtue of the said Will and Sale and the said Samuel Dorsey as Heir at Law and for the better Assuring of the said land to the said Thomas Dorsey and also for and in consideration of the sum of seven hundred and sixty pounds and seven pence Current Money to them paid the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have hereby granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Thomas Dorsey his heirs and assigns for ever All that part of the aforementioned tract or parcel of Land called Calebs Delight enlarged which is Contained within the following metes and bounds to wit Beginning at the distance of Seventy eight perches on the Twenty third line of the whole tract and running thence South twenty two degrees West sixty two perches to the head of a Draught of Talbotts Branch being a Draught of Linganore Creek ^west Two hundred and sixty three perches to the head of a Draught then South forty seven and an half degrees East forty perches South fifteen degrees West fifty Six perches North eighty seven degrees East ^sixty four perches South Ten degrees^ called and known by the name of the Beaver Dam Branch then South Ten degrees East forty perches South thirty and One Quarter degrees West One hundred and seventy perches to the head of Middle run being a Draught of the Western falls Potapsco River then South eighty seven degrees East one hundred and nine perches to the end of the fifty third Course of the whole Tract thence North twenty one degrees East four hundred and Twenty Six perches South forty four degrees East Twenty eight perches South fourteen degrees West thirty perches South eighty degrees East Eighty Six perches to the head of another Draught of the aforesaid Falls of Potapsco River then running with said draught South sixty degrees East Twenty perches North forty five degrees East forty perces North Eleven degrees West fifty perches North fifty seven degrees West forty four perches North fourteen degrees East forty four perches North fifty five degrees East Sixty eight perches South Seventy eight degrees East Twenty two perches to a branch called Shiredines Branch thence North forty five degrees East Ten perches North fifty three and an half degrees West Seventy perches to the beginning Trees of a Tract of Land called Sheredines Range then bounding on said Land West one Hundred and Twenty perches North Eighty five perches and then with a streight line to the beginning containing Six hundred (and) |
