       Assembly of this Province hath passed impowering a certain Thomas Jett and
       him the aforesaid William Bernard or either of them to sell and dispose of the
       said Land with the Buildings and Improvements thereon agreeable to the
       Directions of the las Will and Testament aforesaid of the said John Morton
       Jordan and the said William Bernard in pursuance of the Directions of the
       Act of Assembly and Will aforesaid after having given convenent ^and publick^ Notice in the
       Maryland Gazette of his Intention to sell did offer at publick Vendue at the City of
       Annapolis on the twenty ninth Day of September Seventeen hundred and
       seventy three the Land with the Buildings and Improvements thereon aforesaid
       at and for the Sum of fifteen hundred Pounds Sterling and five hundred and
       eighty one Pounds Common Money of the said Province the said John Morton Jordan
       having paid and advanced to the said Joseph Horation Anderson the said Sum of five hundred
       and eighty one Pounds Common Money as aforesaid for erecting a Brick Dwelling House on
       the Land aforesaid but no person or persons then offering to bid for or purchase the
       said Lands with the Buildings and Improvements thereon the said William Bernard
       hath since sold the same to the aforesaid Henry Holland and William Powell & Sons
       Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said William Bernard for and in
       Consideration of the Sum of fifteen hundred Pounds Sterling and five hundred and
       eighty one pounds Common Money being the best Price that could be had for the same to
       him in Hand paid by the said Henry Holland and William Powell & Sons the Receipt
       whereof he the said William Bernard doth hereby acknowledge hath bargained sold
       aliened released and confirmed and by these doth grant bargain sell alien release and
       confirm unto the said Henry Holland William Powell & Sons their Heirs and
       Assigns all the aforesaid two Acres and one hundred and thirty six square Perches
       of Land with all and singular the Buildings and Improvements thereon and
       Hereditaments and Appurtenances there^un^to or unto any part thereof belonging
       and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and
       Profits thereof and of every Part and Parcel thereof and all the Estate
       Right Title Trust Property Claim or Demand whatsoever of the said William Bernard
       of in or to the said Lands Messuages Tenements Hereditaments and Premisses
       hereby or mentioned or intended to be hereby bargained and sold ^every or any Part or parcel thereof^  To have and to
       hold the aforesaid Lands Buildings Improvements Hereditaments and all and
       singular other the Premisses hereby or mentioned or intended to be hereby bargained
       and sold with their and every of their Appurtenances unto the said Henry Holland
