(713) x.d Ann Arundel County to wit I do hereby Certify to all to whom it do or may concern that Richard Harwood Jun.r and Thomas Watkins Junior before whom a deed from Henry Reston to Thomas Johnson and Rinaldo Johnson were acknowledged and now stands Recorded in Liber DD N.o 5 folioes 710 711 one of the Provincial Court Land Record Books were at that time and still are two of the Lord Proprietarys Justices for Ann Arundel County and to all Instruments of writing so made or signed by them true faith and Credit is and ought to be given In Testimony whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and (LS) Affixed the Publick Seal of said office this Twenty ninth Day of August in the Year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Seventy four 7 Sides J Brice Clk Recorded 29.th August 1774 Ex.d To all to whom these Presents shall come I James Townshend Esq.r Lord Mayor of the City of London in pursuance of an Act of Parliment made and passed in the fifth year of the Reign of his late Majesty King George the Second intituled an Act for the More Easy recovery of Debts in his Majestys Plantations and Coloinies in America Do hereby Certify that on the day of the date hereof personally came and appeared before me Charles Stonehouse the Deponent named in the affidavit hereunto annexed being a person well known and worth of good Credit and by Solemn Oath which the said Deponent then took before me upon the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God did Solemnly and Sincerely declare testify and Depose to be true the Several Matters and things mentioned and Contained in the said Annexed Affidavit In Faith and Testimony whereof I the said Lord Mayor have caused the seal of the Office of Mayoralty of the said City of London to be hereunto put and affixed and the Letter (LS) of Attorney mentioned and refered to in and by the said Affidavit to be hereunto also Annexed Dated in London the Eighteenth day of February in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy Three Hodges London to wit Charles Stone house Book-keeper to David Barclay and John Barclay of London Merchants and Co-partners Trading under the Firm of David and John Barclay maketh Oath that he was present and Did See the said David Barclay and John Barclay Severally Sign Seal and as their Act and Deed in due form of Law Execute ^and deliver^ the Original Procuration or Letter of Attorney hereunto annexed bearing |
