704 singular the Premisses with the Appurtenances unto the same James Williams and Elizabeth his Wife for and during their respective natural lives the Remainder to the Right Heirs of the same James Williams and to or for no other Use Intent or Purpose whatsoever In Witness whereof the Parties to these Presents have hereunto interchangeably set their Hands and affixed their Seals the Day and Year first within written Sealed & Delivered Ja Tilghman of in the presence of Annapolis (LS) W.m Steuart Ja.s Williams (LS) W.m Eddis Eliz.a Williams (LS) On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus indorsed (Viz.t) Received the fourteenth Day of July seventeen hundred and seventy four of the within named James Williams and Elizabeth his Wife the Sum of ten Shillings Sterling by me the within named James Tilghman being in full for the Consideration Money within mentioned to be by them paid me Witness Ja Tilghman of W.m Eddis Annapolis W.m Steuart Be it remembered that on the fourteenth Day of July in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and seventy four came before us the Subscribers two of the Justices of Ann Arundel County the within named James Tilghman and did acknowledge the within Instrument to be his Act and Deed and that the released Premisses was the Right and Estate of the within named James Williams and Elizabeth his Wife in such manner and under and subject to such Limitations Restrictions and Remainder as are therein set forth and declared according to the true Intent and Meaning thereof also that at the same Time came before us the within named Elizabeth Williams party to the within Deed and being by us examined apart from and out of the Hearing of the within Deed and being her Husband did acknowledge and declare that she did accept and take the within released premisses in such Manner and Estate and under and subject to such Limitations Restrictions and Remainder as are herein set forth and declared according to the true Intent and Meaning of the within Deed and that she did the same and also made this Acknowledgment willingly and freely and without being induced thereto by Fear or Threats of or ill Usage by her said Husband or Fear of his Displeasure W.m Steuart 15 Sides W.m Eddis Recorded 25.th July 1774 |
