701 shall be lawfully demanded To the Intent and Purpose that the same James Williams and Elizabeth his Wife may be in the actual Possession of the said hereby bargained and sold premisses and Appurtenances Rights and Members & may hereby and by Force of the Statute for transferring Uses into Possession in that Behalf made and provided be enabled to take and receive a Grant and Release of the Reversion and Inheritance of all and singular the Premisses with the Appurtenances to them and their Heirs in such Manner and under such Restrictions and to such Uses Intents and purposes as shall be thereby declared In Witness whereof the said parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably set their Hands and affixed their Seals the Day and Year first above written Sealed & Delivered Ja Tilghman of (LS) in the presence of Annapolis W.m Steuart Ja.s Williams (LS) W.m Eddis Eliz.a Williams (LS) On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus indorsed (Viz.t) Received the Day and Year first within written from the within named James Williams and Elizabeth his Wife (parties hereto) respectively the Sum of five Shillings Sterling by me the within named James Tilghman being in Full for the Consideration Money within mentioned to be by them paid me Ja Tilghman of Witness Annapolis W.m Steuart W.m Eddis Be it remembered that on the thirteenth Day of July in the Year seventeen hundred and seventy four came before us the Subscribers two of the Justices of the Peace for Ann Arundel County the within named James Tilghman and did acknowledge the within Instrument to be his Act and Deed and that the within bargained & leased Premisses were the Right and Estate of the within James Williams and Elizabeth his Wife according to the true Intent and Meaning of the within Writing W.m Steuart 5½ W.m Eddis Recorded 25.th July 1774 x.d (N.o 4) This Indenture made this fourteenth Day of July in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and seventy four Between James Tilghman of the City of Annapolis in Anne Arundel County Gentleman of the one Part and James Williams and Elizabeth his Wife of the same place of the other part Whereas by Indentures of Lease and Release the Lease bearing Date on or about the eleventh Day of July in the Year of our Lord One (thousand) |
