       aforesaid bounded as follows that is to say Beginning at a locust Post on the North
       East Side of Scotts Street and running thence North West six perches and three
       Qua^r^ters of a Perch to a Locust Post lately erected thence North forty one Degrees and
       one Quarter East twenty two perches to Severn River lying down till it intersect a
       North forty two and a half Degrees East Course from Scotts Street the place of
       Beginning & which said Acre of Ground is that Lott or Portion of Ground in the said
       City which James Reith deceased resided on at the Time of his Decease together with all
       and singular the Houses Buildings Improvements Liberties Priviledges Advantages
       and Appurtenances whatsoever to the same belonging or in any Wise appertaining  To
       have & to hold an undivided Moiety or half part of the Acre or Lott of Ground
       aforesaid and all and singular the premisses with the Appurtenances unto the same
       James Tilghman his Executors Administrators and Assigns from the tenth Day of
       this Instant July for and during and untill the full End and Term of one whole
       Year from thence next ensuing and fully to be compleat and ended yielding and
       paying therefore at the Expiration of the said Year one pepper Corn if the same shall
       be lawfully demanded  To the Intent and Purpose that by Virtue of these Presents
       and of the Statute for transferring Uses into Possession he the same James Tilghman
       may be in the actual Possession of all and singular the said Premisses whose
       mentioned with the Appurtenances and thereby be enabled to accept and take a Grant
       and Release of the Reversion and Inheritance to him and his Heirs of all and singular
       the said Premisses with the Appurtenances to such Uses Intents & Purposes as shall
       be therein and thereby declared  In Witness whereof the said Parties to these
       presents have hereunto interchangeably set their Hands & affixed their Seals the

       On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus indorsed (Viz.t)

       Received the eleventh Day of July in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven
       hundred and seventy four from the within James Tilghman by us the within James
       Williams & Elizabeth Williams respectively the Sum of five Shillings Sterling being in
       full for the Consideration Money within mentioned to be by him paid us
