695 River South thirty Degrees West Eighty perches to the South side of the Mouth of the said Herring Pond thence on and with the said Herring Pond to the aforesaid Begining Trees containing thirty five Acres situate lying and being in Baltimore County with the Appurtenances and the Revertion and Revertions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and Profits thereof and of every part and parcel thereof To have and To hold the aforesaid piece or parcel of Land and premisses with the Appurtenances unto him the said Gerrard Hopkins his Executors Administrators and Assigns from the Day next before the Day of the Date of these presents until the full End and Term of one whole Year from thence next ensuing fully to be Compleat and Ended to the Intent and Purpose that the said Gerrard Hopkins may be in the actual possession of the hereby bargained and sold Land and premisses with the appurtenances and may hereby and by Force of the Statute for transfering Uses into Possession be enabled to take a Grant and Release of Revertion and Inheritance of the same Land and Premisses to him and his Heirs to such Uses Intents and purposes as shall be therein specified and declared In Witness whereof the said Sarah Hopkins hath hereunto set her Hand and Seal the Day and Year first above written signed sealed and Delivered Sarah Hopkins (LS) In the presence of And Buchanan On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t Received the Day and Year first within mentioned of and from the within named Gerrard Hopkins the Sum of five shillings Sterling the within Consideration Witness 5 Sides And Buchanan Sarah Hopkins On the 24.th Day of April 1773 Came Sarah Hopkins and acknowledged the within Instrument of writing as her Act and Deed to and for the Uses within mentioned acknowledged before two of the Magistrates of Baltimore County And Buchanan W.m Spear Recorded 27.th April 1773 Ex. Ex.d (N.o 1) This Indenture made this eleventh Day of July in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and seventy four Between James Williams of the City of Annapolis Merchant and Elizabeth his Wife of the one Part and James Tilghman of the same Place Gentleman of the other Part Witnesseth that the same James Williams and Elizabeth his Wife for and in Consideration of the Sums of five Shillings Sterling Money to them in Hand paid by the same James Tilghman & each of them at or before the sealing and Delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these Presents do grant bargain and sell unto the same James Tilghman his Executors Administrators and Assigns an undivided half part or Moiety of all that one Acre of Land scituate lying and being in the City of Annapolis (aforesaid) |
