690 Received of the within named Thomas Elliott the Sum of Seven Pence half penny Sterling being the Alienation fine due on the within land to the Lord Proprietor by Virtue of a Commission from Dan of S.t Tho.s Jenifer his Lordships Agent & Receiver Gen.l J Brice Clk 4 Sides Recorded 14.th June 1774 Ex.d This Indenture made this twenty fourth day of May in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy four Between Samuel Beall junior of Frederick County in the province of Maryland Gentleman of the one part and Sarah Elson of Prince Georges County and province aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Samuel Beall Junior for and in consideration of the Sum of one hundred and forty pounds Sterling Money of Great Britain to him in hand paid by the said Sarah Elson the Receipt whereof the said Samuel Beall Junior doth hereby acknowledge and of every part and parcel thereof doth hereby Acquit Exonerate & fully discharge the said Sarah Elsen Hath given granted bargained Sold Aliened Enfeoffed Confirmed and made over as by these presents he the said Samuel Beall junior doth for himself and his Heirs give grant bargain sell alien enfeoffe confirm and make over unto the said Sarah Elson her Heirs and Assigns for ever all that Tract or Parcel of Land called the Resurvey on Terra Firma lying scituate and Being in Frederick County and Begining for the Out lines thereof at the end of the fourth line of a Tract of Land called Friendship and runing thence South South East sixty perches East sixty perches North East sixty eight perches South Twenty three perches South West forty perches South twenty eight Degrees West thirty two perches South sixty four perches to the end of the fifth Line of the Original Survey called Terra Firma then with the said Original Survey South South West fifty six perches West one hundred perches North North West thirty four perches West North West forty perches North twenty one perches East twelve perches to the Begining of the Original Survey North East one hundred and fourteen perches then with a straight line to the Begining Containing by grant of Confirmation one hundred and forty Acres of Land more or less To have and to hold the said Land and premisses together with all and singular the Improvements Conveniences and Advantages to the said Tract or Parcel of Land Belonging or in any manner of way appertaining To the only proper use and behoof of her the said Sarah Elson her Heirs and Assigns for ever and to no other use intent or purpose whatsoever And the said Samuel Beall Junior doth for himself his Heirs Executors and Administrators Covenant Promise Grant and Agree to and with the said Sarah Elsen her Heirs and Assigns The aforesaid Tract or parcel of Land and every part and parcel thereof against him the said Samuel Beall Junior and his heirs as also against all other person or persons Claiming or to Claim from by or under him them or any of them shall and will Warrant and for ever defend by these presents and the said Samuel Beall jun.r doth further for himself his Heirs and Assigns Executors and Administrators Covenant promise |
