670 him or them or any Manor of Person or persons whatsoever shall and will at all Times hereafter at the Request & Cost of him the said Hammond John Cromwell his Heirs and Assigns make do or execute or cause or procure to be made done & executed all and every further lawfull & reasonable Grants Acts & Assurances in the said Land & primises whatsoever such as he the said Ham.d John Cromwell his Heirs or Assigns or his or there Counsill learned in the Law shall require for the more safer & better securing of the said Premisses hereby granted or ment mentioned or intended to be with the Appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said Ham.d John Cromwell his Heirs and Assigns unto the only propper Use & Behoof of him the said Hammond John Cromwell his Heirs & Assigns for every according to the true Intent & Meaning of these Presents and for and to no other Use Intent or Purpose whatsoever To hold to him the said Hammond John Cromwell his Heirs & Assigns for ever In Witness whereof the Parties to these Presents have hereunto interchangeably sett there Hands and affixed ther Seald the Day & Year first above written Signed Sealed & Delivered Jo Ha^m^mondorsey (LS) in the Presents of David Smith George Johnson On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus indorsed (Viz.t) 1773 November the 8.th Day Rec.d of the within named Hammond John Cromwell eight hundred Pounds being the Consideration Money in full within mentioned Receid by me Test David Smith Jo Ha^m^mondorsey On the 8.th Day of November 1773 came before us the Subscribers two of his Lordships Justices of the Peace for Cecil County & Province of Maryland the within named John Hammond Dorsey Party to the within Deed & acknowledged the within mentioned Tracts or Parcells of Land & premises to be the RIght Title & Estate of ^the^ within named Hammond John Cromwell his Heirs and Assigns forever according to the true Intent & Meaning of the within Deed & the Act of Assembly in such Case made & provided acklnowledged before 9 Sides David Smith George Johnson Received of M.r Hammond John Cromwell the Sum of seven Shillings and one Penny Sterling being the Alienation Fine due on the with^in^ Land to the Lord Proprietary by Virtue of a Commission from Daniel of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Esq.r his said Lordships Agent & Receiver General John Brice Recorded 6.th May 1774 |
