       within Indenture to be his Act and Deed and the Land and Premises within
       mentioned to be the Right Title & Estate of the within named John Dorsey his Heirs
       & Assigns for ever

          Be it remembered that on the nineteenth Day of March 1774 Came Lois
       Barnes Wife to Robert Barnes (who formerly deeded the within Land to the
       within named Joshua Barnes Son of Robert But she the said Lois did not at
       that Time relinquish her Right of Dower to the said Joshua but doth now before
       us two of the Lord Proprietarys Justices for Frederick County acknowledge out
       of the Hearing of her said Husband that she doth freely and willingly of her own
       Accord or without the Fears or Threats of her said Husband or any Person whatsoever
       relinquish to the within named John Dorsey his Heirs and Assigns for ever all her
       Right Title or Claim of Dower to the within Land and Premises

       Frederick County to wit I hereby certify that Mess.rs George Brent
       and Sam.l Beall Jun.r before whom the above Acknowledgment ware taken and
       who subscribed their Names and ware on the Day of the Date and still are
       two of the Right Honourable the Lord Prop.ys of Maryland his Justice of the
       Peace in and for the County af.d duly authorized and sworn and to all Certificates
       given by them as such due Faith and Credit is and ought to be given as well in
       Court of Justices as thereout

                            In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and affixed
          (LS)           the Publick Seal of the County aforesaid the twentieth Day of March
                            one thousand seven hundred and seventy four
