       whom the above Acknowledg^ed^ment ware taken and who subscribed their Names and
       ware on the Day of the Date and still are two of the Right Honourable the Lord
       proprietary of Maryland his Justices of the Peace in and for the County af.d duly
       authorized and sworn as such due Faith and Credit is and ought to be given as well
       in Court of Justices as thereout
                      In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and affixed the
       (LS)        Publick Seal of the County afs.d this twentieth Day of March 1774

       Received of M.r John Dorsey the sum of fifteen Shillings and nine pence
       half penny Sterling being the Alienation Fine due on the within Land to the
12 Sides   Lord proprietary by Virtue of a Commission from Dan.l of S.t Tho.s Jenifer Esq.r
       his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General

                This Indenture made this nineteenth Day of March Anno Domini
       one thousand seven hundred and seventy four Between Joshua Barnes Son of Robert of
       Frederick County and Province of Maryland of the one Part and John Dorsey of Ann Arundell
       County and Province aforesaid Merch.t of the other Part Witnesseth that the said Joshua
       Barnes Son of Robert for and in Consideration of the Sum of Two hundred and sixteen
       Pounds seventeen Shillings & Six Pence Sterling Money to him in Hand paid by the
       said John Dorsey at or before the ensealing and Delivery of these presents the Receipt
       whereof the said Joshua Barnes Son of Robert doth hereby acknowledge and thereof
       and therefrom and from every Part and Parcell thereof doth fully clearly and absolutely
       exonerate acquit and discharge the said John Dorsey his Heirs and Assigns for ever
       Hath Given granted bargained aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and by these Presents doth
       fully clearly and absolutely give grant bargain sell alien enfeoff and confirm to the
       said John Dorsey his Heirs and Assigns for ever all that Moiety or Part of two Tracts of
       Land to Vit one called Barnes Purchase and the other Addition to Brothers Level lying
       and being in Ann Arundell County and Province aforesaid Begining to include both Moietys
       or Parcells of Land aforesaid at the End of the fourteenth Line of the aforesaid Addition to
       Brothers Level and running thence with the said Land North forty five Degrees West sixty
       four Perches to intersect the End of the eleventh Course of the aforesaid Barne's Purchase
       and running with and bounding on the aforesaid Land these eleven following Courses Viz.t
       North twenty Degrees West twenty four Perches West twenty three Perches North thirty three
