615) thereof by the said John Buchanan are of the respective proper Hands Writing of Arah Lancaster Servant to the said M.r John Buchanan and of this Deponent Tho.s Turner Sworn at the Mansion House this 24.th Nov.r 1773 Fred.k Bull Mayor To which aforegoing Certificate was annexed the following Power of Attorney (Viz.t) To all to whom these Presents shall come John Rogers and Abraham Dyson of Cornhill London Warehousemen and Partners Richard Cooke of Houndsditch London Mercer John Worrall of Lawrence Lane London Warehouseman Edmund Lardner of the Borough of Southwark in the County of Surry Haberdasher Samuel Dyson of Cateaton Street London Merchant Edward Gale of Shadwell in the County of Middlesex Ropemaker and Thomas Porteus of Lin^m^e Street London Merchant and also John Buchanan and Gilbert Buchanan of Tower Street London Merchants and Copartners Send Greeting Whereas by Indenture of three Parts bearing Date the twenty seventh Day of April now last past and made or mentioned to be made between the said John Buchanan and Gilbert Buchanan of the first Part the said John Rogers Abraham Dyson Richard Cooke John Worrall Edmund Lardner Samuel Dyson Edward Gale and Thomas Porteus (which said John Rogers Abraham Dyson Richard Cooke John Worrall Edmund Lardner Samuel Dyson Edward Gale and Thomas Porteus with their respective Copartners are respectively Creditors of the said John Buchanan and Gilbert Buchanan of the ^second^ Part and the several other Persons executing the said Indenture and who are also Creditors of the said John Buchanan and Gilbert Buchanan or of the one of them of the third Part Reciting that the said John Buchanan for several years carried on the Trade or Business of a Merchant on his own seperate Account and for some Time past had carried on the same Trade or Business in Partnership with the said Gilbert Buchanan and that in the Course of such their Dealings they became and then were indebted to divers Persons in sundry Sums of Money which remained unsatisfyed And that the said John Buchanan and Gilbert Buchanan had proposed to assign over to the said John Rogers Abraham Dyson Richard Cooke John Worrall Edmund Lardner Samuel Dyson Edward Gale and Thomas Porteus in Trust for themselves and all other the joint and seperate Creditors respectively of them the said John Buchanan and Gilbert Buchanan or of either of them who should execute the said Indenture as aforesaid All the ready Money Notes Bills Goods Chattles Books of Account and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever of them the said John Buchanan and Gilbert Buchanan as Copartners or of either of them in their respective seperate Capacities (the) |
