614 Ex.d To all to whom these Presents shall come I Frederick Bull Esquire Lord Mayor of the City of London In Pursuance of an Act of Parliament made and passed in the fifth Year of the Reign of his late Majesty King George the second Intituled an Act for the more easy Recovery of Debts in his Majesties Plantations and Colonies in America Do hereby certify that on the Day of the Date hereof personally came and appeared before me Thomas Turner the Deponent named in the Affidavit hereunto annexed being a Person well known and worthy of good Credit and by solemn Oath which the said Deponents then took before me upon the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God did solemnly and sincerely declare testify and depose to be true the several Matters and Things mentioned and contained in the said annexed Affidavit In Faith and Testimony whereof I the said Lord Mayor have caused the (LS) Seal of the Office of Mayoralty of the said City of London to be hereunto put and affixed and the Letter of Attorney mentioned and referred to in and by the said Affidavit to be hereunto also annexed Dated in London the twenty fourth Day of November in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and seventy three Hodges London Thomas Turner of Dowgate Hill London Gentleman maketh Oath and saith that that he this Deponent was present and did see the Parchment Writing or Letter of Attorney hereunto annexed marked with the Letter (A) duly signed sealed and delivered by the therein named John Rogers Abraham Dyson Richard Cooke John Worrall Edmund Lardner Samuel Dyson Edward Gale and Thomas Porteus And that the Names "John Rogers" Ab.m Dyson" Rich.d Cooke" John Worrall" Edm.d Lardner" Samuel Dyson" "Edw Gale" and Thomas Porteus" thereto set and subscribed as eight of the Parties executing the same are of the respective proper Hands Writing of the said John Rogers Abraham Dyson Richard Cooke John Worrall Edmund Lardner Samuel Dyson Edward Gale and Thomas Porteus And that the Names "J Bennett" and Tho.s Turner" set and subscribed to the Attestation thereon indorsed as Witnesses to the due Execution thereof by the said John Rogers Abraham Dyson Richard Cooke John Worrall Edmund Lardner Samuel Dyson Edward Gale and Thomas Porteus are of the respective proper Hands Writing of Joseph Bennett of Elbow Lane London Gentleman and of this Deponent and this Deponent further saith That he was also present and did see the said Parchment Writing or Letter of Attorney hereunto annexed marked with the Letter (A) duly signed sealed and delivered by the therein named John Buchanan and that the Name "John Buchanan" thereto set and subscribed as one other of the Parties executing the same is of the proper Hand Writing of the said John Buchanan And that the Names "Arah Lancaster" and Thomas Turner set and subscribed to the Attestation thereon also indorsed as Witnesses to the due Execution (thereof) |
