613) Purposes aforesaid and all or every part thereof to make Constitute and again at his pleasure to Revoke ratifying and holding firm and Effectual all and whatsoever our said Attorney or ay other Attorney or Attorneys to be by him Appointed shall do in and about the premises by Virtue hereof And we do further hereby declare that the said Robert Findlay Junior our said Attorney shall not be Accountable to us or any of us for his negligencies or omissions in executing our power of Attorney aforesaid but for his actuall intromissions only And We Consent if necessary at any future period to the inrolling recording and registrating these presents in any Court or Courts of record before any Magistrate or Judge in the Province of Maryland or in any other province of North America aforesaid In Witness whereof we have subscribed and sealed these presents (wrote ^upon stamped Paper^ by Amos Black Clerk to William Cuninghame and Company Merchants in Glasgow) at Glasgow the second day of March One thousand seven hundred and seventy three years before these Witness Allan Bogle James Rowand both Clerks to the aforesaid William Cuninghame & Company and the aforesaid James Black Allan Bogle Witness Alexander Houstoun (LS) James Rowan Witness Robert Bogle (LS) James Black Witness James Dougall (LS) William Cuninghame (LS) I Arthur Connell of Cumberland Esquire present Provost and chief Magistrate of the City of Glasgow in North Britain subscribing do hereby Certify and Attest that upon the day and date hereof Alexander Houstoun Robert Bogle James Dougall and William Cuninghame Constituents in the Letter of Attorney within written did Personally Appear before me and judicially acknowledged that they had signed sealed and delivered the said Letter of Attorney as their Act and Deed to the within designed Robert Findlay Junior for the uses intents and purposes therein mentioned As Also that upon the same day the above named Allan Bogle James Rowand and James Black did personally appear before me and being solemnly sworn before made Oath that they were present and did see the said Alexander Houstoun Robert Bogle James Dougall and William Cuninghame sign seal and deliver the said letter of Attorney and that they themselves witnesses to the Execution hereof subscribed their Names as Attesting the same And further made Oath that the Names of Allan Bogle James Rowand and James Black Appearing Subscribed to the said letter of Attorney as Witnesses attending the execution thereof are of their respective hands writing of them the said deponents and that the Names of the said Alexander Houstoun Robert Bogle James Dougall and William Cuninghame appearing subscribed thereto as the partners executing the said letter of Attorney as witnesses are their proper hands writing And I do further Certify and Attest that the above named Alexander Houstoun Robert Bogle James Dougall and William Cuninghame with Robert Findlay junior to whom the above Power of Attorney is granted are Partners of the Company which is now known under the Firm of Cuninghame Findlay and Company In Confirmation whereof I have Subscribed this and caused the City Seal to be affixed hereto (LS) Arthur Connell Recorded the 31.st March 1774 |
