       David Walker Merchant in Newport our partner and factor there Mathew Blair Merchant in Chaptico
       our factor there John Masson Merchant in Leonard Town our factor there John Feryma^s^son Merchant in George
       Town our factor there and Richard Pomsonby Merchant in Bladensburgh our factor there all in the said
       Province of Maryland to supercede or dismiss from our Service all or any such as to him seemeth proper or to
       Appoint any others in their Room and stead or finally to wind up and settle our Business carried on at any
       or all of the above named places by the aforesaid Persons or any any other persons whatsoever  And Generally
       to do and determine every thing which all or any of us could do were we ourselves present Particularly s^e^tlling
       with and discharging either or all the above named Factors  To have use and take all ways and means
       either by Arbitration or by process before any Court of Law or any other way whatsoever in our name or in the
       Name of us Cuninghame Findlay and Company for the recovery of all Claims we have or may have in
       North America and upon the Receipt or adjusting of all and every such debts dues and Sums of
       Money aforesaid to make seal and deliver acquittances or other sufficient discharges;  And generally to do
       all and every other Act and Acts thing and things device and devices in the Law whatsoever needfull and
       Necessary to be done in and ^about^ the premices for us to do execute and perform as fully largely and Amply
       to all intents and purposes as we might or could do if personally present or if the Matter required more
       special Authority than is hereby given   And we do also hereby authorise and impower the said Robert
       Findlay Junior to Charter or let out any Ship or Ships Vessell or Vessells we have or may hereafter have
       in any Port Harbour or Creek in the said Province of Maryland or in any other Province ^or Colony^ in North America
       to any part or quarter of the World he may judge proper and expedient upon such conditions and term and
       at such rate of freight as he and the other party may agree upon  And further we hereby Authorize
       and impower the before mentioned Robert Findlay our Attorney aforesaid to sell let or dispose of any lands or
       houses within the limits or bounds of any Town City or County in the said Province of Maryland or in any
       other Province in North America aforesaid belonging to us or where in we are or may be in any way

       present  And also to do perform and execute all and every Acts and things as shall be needfull for
       selling letting or otherwise disposing thereof upon such terms and Conditions as he our said Attorney
       shall think fitt      Giving and Granting to our said Attorney our full and absolute Power
       in the Premisses Whom we hereby impower to Appoint one or more Attorneys under him for the
