600 the twenty first of April in the Year one thousand seven hundred and sixty sold and conveyed by a certain Thomas Selby to the aforesaid Judson Cooledge and his Heirs Also all that Piece or Parcell of Land being Part of Essex Lodge aforesaid Beginning at a bounded Persimon Tree standing on the North East Side of a great Branch near the Main road and running thence South seventeen Degrees West forty Perches then South four Degrees East one hundred Perches then South twelve Degrees East fifty Perches to Mattapany Branch then down and with the said Branch North thirty seven and a half Degrees East thirty three perches then North forty one and a half Degrees East forty Perches then North twenty five Degrees East thirty six Perches then North twelve Degrees West one hundred and one Perches to the Branch first above mentioned and with the said Branch to the Beginning containing and laid out for sixty Acres more or less being the same Parcell of Land which was heretofore on or about the eighth Day of February in the Year one thousand seven hundred and sixty two sold and conveyed by a certain Thomas Hodgkin to the said Judson Cooledge and his Heirs Also all that Part or Parcell of the said Tract of Land called Essex Lodge lying and being in the County aforesaid which is included in the following Metes and bounds to wit Beginning at a Willow with four prongs from one root the middle one of them marked with two Blazes the said Willow standing on the North Side of a Creek commonly called Mattapany Creek by the Marsh Side and in the East and by South Line of that Part of Essex Lodge formerly in Possession of Thomas Selby but now belonging to and in Possession of the said Judson Cooledge and running thence with the said Cooledge's Part West and by South fifty six Perches to that Part of Essex Lodge formerly in Possession of Thomas Hodgkin but now belonging to and in ^the^ Possession of the said Judson Cooledge then with the said Land South twelve Degrees East to Mattapany Creek Side thence with the said Creek as the said Creek runneth to the said Willow it being the Beginning Tree containing and laid out for eight Acres and an half Acre of Land and Marsh more or less it being the same Parcell of Land which was heretofore on or about the eighteenth Day of May in the Year seventeen hundred and sixty four sold and conveyed to the said Judson Cooledge and his Heirs by a certain Edward Botelor Also all that Part or Parcell of the said Tract of Land called Essex Lodge lying and being in Prince Georges County which is included in the following Metes and Bounds to wit Beginning at a bounded Black Oak Sapling standing on the Side of a Hill on the South and by West Line of the said Judson Coledge's Land near a Branch Running South and West with the said Land ninety two Perches then North twelve Degrees West with the Line of a Tract of Land formerly belonging to Thomas Hodgkin but now belonging to and in Possession of the said Judson Cooledge sixty eight Perches to a bounded White Oak Sapling by the said Branch falling into Mattapany Creek and thence with a streight Line to the Beginning Tree containing and laid out for seven Acres of Land more or less being the same Parcell of (Land) |
